Dear guys... for those who have "experience" with the FF problem...

-> could you reproduce the CEL with easy after the car reported it first time?
-> did they re-install the OEM exhaust in the diagnostic phase in case you had aftermarket headers on?
-> did you pay for the diagnostic work, new spark plugs and so on until they finally changed the engine?

Mine threw a CEL today, directly on the first high rev after I picked it up from service. Missfire on one cylinder. Ran fine before. It's a late F (some fixes but not the coated camshafts). Maybe they screwed something on the service but I want to be prepared....

yes, the safe/easy way is to get a long stretch of road and in 2nd just get the revs up at partial throttle and let it hang out for a little bit past 8500

not sure, I only had a center bypass but that went back on. I’d just let the SA know, doubtful that they care

The first dealer I went to tried to charge me, they weren’t educated on the problem but they have all sorts of warranty codes they can bill against. Don’t pay for anything

Thanks, ingition coil on one cylinder is replaced and car runs without CEL. Had some strange behaviour when revving high, like the rev limiter wants to kick in at 8300 but than it pulled in the shift point at 8800 like it should. Happened twice... revved it a view times over 8000 and didn't get the CEL back. But I did not do the test you described yet... will see what happens at the upcoming trackday.

CEL came back at the track. Now they start next step in diagnosis the next days. Met two guys at the trak with 3.8, both on the 2nd or 3rd engine. One had the finger follower making its way through the head...
