Used to build amplifiers back in Hungary in high school and during med school. High end audio is a dangerous money pit. I tested equipment for a few years for a now defunct Hungarian journal (Hi-Fi Magazin).
Worked - OK more like exchanging circuit plans and met a few times - with Schaefer (ASR) and Otala.
Now I think high end audio is more akin to religion than to science. Or maybe wine would be a better analogy, it is about taste and preferences. Especially when you start talking about cables.

STG, thank you for the report on cycling. I'm sure my wife will be happy to hear.
Okay, on to my question on wheel hubs. Chris King vs DT Swiss 240's?

never told dad
he cuts the tuition chk to me
i dont evne blink buying $3000/meter cables: you must remember cardas, music hose blah blah....
i am so glad i got that out of my system early on
any tube/solid state amp preamp worth mentioning i had them.
and coincidental EVERYTHING in that pic are now sold hahaha
the car is a 2016 GT4 clubsport, a factory build race car. the jack are air jacks that are build into the car. pressurise air pops the car up in 2 sec. and you pull one value car drop to ground in half second
i dont miss the car but i sure miss the air jacks
most of the pro's are married with kids. some has a lot of kids.
DT 240 is efficient and well, it's DT
king hubs are well KING. that noise is unmistakable. if it's my custom wheel, i will run king, and did that on all my MTB's in past
but since i run LWT meilensteins, i dont have a choice. the wheels are factory build and are DT hubs.

You bike guys are crazy. I love tracking my cars but biking is for the crazies! I'm 47 and decided a broken clavicle would be deleterious to my car/garage budget.
I come to this thread to see Mooty's garage, his food pics and California pics.
Ritesh - who claims to be Vegan but my wife calls me a Flexeterian(I'm flexible on my diet) :-)

Alright, i will be brief on it: and I have to say after this post i will put my head in the sand, plug my ears, never visit this thread!! This is clearly total lack of self control from my part. (no affiliation with dr Greger, not spending my afternoons at NutritionFacts.org)
Ok here it is: You don not need to be vegan or even vegetarian to have the full benefits of a vegan diet. In fact, I am almost certain you are better of if you are not religiously vegan. What you need is a plant based diet with occasional meat, cheese, etc. (and wine)
I went through all the phases of being vegan, then not, not fully. The fact is we need to pay attention to what we eat, but taking it to the extreme is not our best interest. Again, no affiliation with NutritionFacts but if you want to start somewhere that is one of the best places online.
This thread has to go back to biking!

Three Wheelin'
Hello guys, bike rider here also. I mainly do MTB and Bmx. Have a road bike but don't put any miles on it. Last time I rode it was to eat dinner. Probably not too many Bmx riders in these forums. Been doing it for 33 plus years.
I see you all talking about hubs. Chris King are so long lasting. I have a set that are about 17 years old and my wife is on them now. But my hub of choice now is onyx. A fairly new company but coming on strong. Love their instant engagement and no sound..
