Is it me or is the GT3 too rough?

At times I find myself disappointed & frustrated with the poor ride quality and lack of dampening. I live in Toronto, Canada where the roads are painfully bad.

I am considering either Öhlins or kW suspension to smoothen out the ride.. Or perhaps a swap for 991.1 TTS.

All recommendations appreciated.

I've never thought of a modern GT car as being " too rough ". As a matter of fact,I think modern suspension has allowed sports car manufacturers to combine decent road ride with great handling on track. This was never possible in the past without compromise.

Just you. It's a sports car. I have a bad back and I'm good with LWBs for hours. I hear the Z06s are very smooth riding.

I wish porsche refined its dampening control to adapt for the average public road. The stock suspension just doesn't dampen well for street driving.

Sell it and move on. No reason to keep it if it's uncomfortable for you. For me I think it's quite comfortable in PASM normal mode. The only thing that wears on me a little is the road noise on a long drive. Not intolerable, but after a 500mi day I'm ready to get out of the car for a while.

Each 911 model has a niche and purpose. They sure have all the bases covered!

TPC's DSC might offer some help.

Definitely not an issue. It's MUCH more compliant and comfortable than all previous gen GT cars and with LWB seats... And the RS is even more comfy than the GT3 (bigger sidewalls)

For the car's purpose in life it is pretty refined. Maybe you should go TT.

Most comfortable GT car I've ever had. It's downright plush for what it is.

I have a 991.1 4S as a DD. I think my GT3 weekender with sofas is actually more comfortable. Go figure...

Definitely not rough. Infact its the most supple GT car Ive yet driven. Check your tire pressures (29/33 psi) and try the DSC unit Alan mentions which may improve things on the road somewhat. The "tire roar" is a function of the low profile wide rubber so you will find no solace there. If you still find it unacceptable and you arent using this car on track then like others I would suggest a switch to a Carrera or similar. My brief drive of a 991TTS didnt enlighten me as to iff this is a better option but i should think its more compliant although the tire noise will persist...

If you never drive on track I agree GT3 is too rough. You won't get much sympathy here I suspect and I personally am glad the GT3 does not cater to your behind! I like it rough!
