The air bottle is optional. It is like $200. My installer plugged the thing in when the lift was put in place. Rather simple.

I have just over 10ft and have no issues. HOWEVER, I have a P car on it and not have much headroom left. The air bottle needs the lift to go fairly high up to build pressure.

I have almost 11' and I can only fit a sedan/sport car underneath because of the garage door rails, so take that into consideration, and I do have the "high lift" motors/rails.

Anyone have a 4-post parking lift in their garage with a ceiling of only 9' or so?
I'm aware of having to raise the garage door rails to its maximum roll-up height to open/close.
My garage ceiling is 9' 6" (or 114")... the GT4 can be on the bottom so what's the max car height I can do for the top ramp?
Would love to also fit the GT350 there... but if not then that means I "have" to buy another car that's lower height. Maybe a .2 GT3 perhaps.

The HD-9 has an optional air tank that looks like a shock. Mounts under the rails so invisible. It uses the pressure from raising the lift and fills itself. As long as you use the lift somewhat regularly you don't need a compressor. I've had mine for over a year and haven't had any issues. Left the car alone for winter and didn't lose any pressure in the tank either.

Any engineers in the group? I have a 10' ceiling but an 18" LVL (or four) running left to right dead center to hold up a couple bedrooms apparently. Possible to tear out the ceiling and move that into the actual joist area of the floor to achieve the same effect and have enough clearance for a lift?

I had 100" and raised my ceiling of part of my garage by 16". Don't ask me what that costs.

Don't ask because you don't know or because you don't want to remember? ;-)

For the guys here that have high rise doors, how close are the rails to the ceiling? Mine are 12" which seems a lot, when I asked the installer he told me he needed clearance for the spring tool...
