How did everyone get the 4 post delivered? Most places I called want you to have a fork lift which i dont have. (say the 4 posts are too heavy for the trucks built in lift gate)

Mine was shipped to the closest hub and my installer went to pick it up, you have no idea how heavy the runways alone are.

I had my lift delivered directly to the installer. They pre assembled some of the sections in their shop and then trucked it to my house to complete the installation.

I bought mine through a local Rotary/Revolution dealer/installer that was cheaper than the internet prices I saw.

His crew delivered it and he set it up just like they would for a car dealer or service station. Installation was only a few hundred dollars which is WAY inexpensive once you see what they go through during assembly and setup.

Still happy after several years use.

Shipped from BendPak to an installer who then brought it to my house.

As others said - go with professional install. They are massive and heavy. Not something you want to mess with on your own. My install guy had a special truck that he uses to transport them. Well worth a couple hundred bucks.

Thanks all. I will look for an installer. Any in particular to search the interwebs for an installer? I am in Chicago if anyone has local suggestions.

I rented a truck and picked up my 4-post lift at the distributor 20 minutes from home. They loaded it with a fork lift. The ramps were bolted together to form a big crate. I brought it home and disassembled it while on the truck, then unloaded it piece by piece using movers dollies, two floor jacks, and the truck's lift gate (two hours).

It took most of the next day for me to assemble it. The instructions for the hydraulic were a bit vague, so I did get some help from a friend who had a lot of experience assembling machinery.

Hello all,

Very informative thread. I am now considering joining the club by purchasing a Benpack HD9. My question relates to width through. Am planning on parking a 991 RS and a 997 RS. Is the HD-9ST (Narrow) good enough or did you guys go for the HD-9 (wide/XL or XW)?

Thanks

Bendpak HD-9 with rolling scissor lift.

Bolted to floor

Been stellar since purchase 7 years ago.

Love those single post lifts. Are there gaps between the ramps to be able to do basic maintenance like fluid changes?

I will be ordering my 5th lift in the next two months as I am in the midst of reconstructing my house and constructing a new detached garage. Two lifts ago, I ordered a 9st (narrow) for my garage...which was a mistake. My wife was a little bit intimidated driving between the columns but more importantly I will never forget the series of expletives that came out of my mouth when I pierced the sidewall on my Cayenne rubbing against the hanger piece..destroying the tire. If you have the room, opt for the standard width for sure. Was always happy with the Bendpak products though and their distributor in Canada.
