Porsche GT production honcho's Preuninger and Walliser don't seem to agree with you.
Here's what Preuninger says on the subject of flippers (I've heard Walliser said, essentially, the same thing) http://blog.caranddriver.com/porsche...-and-flippers/
He claims to have a fix on who the people are who are flipping his machines. And he wont sell to them. No details on how he plans to do that. And I wonder if he thinks, perhaps, the biggest flippers are his dealers. And, might that say something about allocations?
So, while he cannot legally directly control the price, IMO, he does have his hand firmly on the controls of something just as effective on price - supply. Which may be where he's going. Pure guess.

car flippers are like ticket scalpers.
no one "loves" them.
but you can't and no one can fix it. this is how free economy works
if you can get my daughter front ctr for TSwzzle concert tix pls pm me. i can get the tix. but at mark up.
well same goes with cars.
forget cars and tix.
if i really wanted to buy some fully automatic weapon, some seriously illegal narcotics or even fresh human organs; it's not that hard. yes, FBI CIA catches a few here and there. but that's about 1% or even less than what's going on there. i just dont know how to stop it. if i could, i would win a nobel for peach and a nobel for economy as well. then i will flip my nobel prize metal to someone less fortunate haha
"Flipping" (buying and selling) is not and should not be illegal. The profit margins for flippers are directly proportional to the superior access they have to the flipped goods vs everyone else. Open up the market, allow access to any willing buyer/bidder and the flipping margins will evaporate taking the flippers along.
but when i am the flipper i will be happy
when i am the flippee i will be pissed
cest la vie

but it was fixed, and so it goes the wealthiest pay the least for their new GT cars and with the least hassle, Im not saying they don't deserve it, every 918 buyer stepped up to the plate and took a risk, I am happy for them, all I am saying is on some level Porsche has the power to control this and actually it doesn't require new "rules" just increase supply, the concept of demand-1 creates this unrest, I say demand+10 should do the trick, let 10 guys get a discount or steal 10 buyers from Ferrari
