Nice vid. Misha is a nice guy - he helped me by suggesting tire pressures for my 991.2 TT loaner at the Ring. Very approachable and eager to help...

Cool!

It isn't a PDK car so I guess you just ignored it

For once I'm glad I'm not in Nürburg.

So, finally hibernation is soon to be over.
Next week it is time for the Great White to hit Nürburgring again

Thursday is Touristdriving and Saturday is the first RCN race of the year.
During the same weekend it is training and qualification races for the Nürburgring 24H race so we will drive the 24H configuration of the track: GP+Nordschleife.
It is interesting to try to get the right speed in the tight lefthander hairpin after driving full speed for several km's...

Well anyway, here's what I do to make sure that I don't ruin my rims or fenders on the wide-hipped 991.1 RS when I'm doing Touristdriving.

An inspection mirror, some double sided tape and my Ring card.

Some use one of these to solve the same problem, it is cheaper but they do not fold.

Weather and family

Going to be there enough anyway. Just wish I got more laps before the first race. Gonna hit the curbs and miss the apexes for sure .

Speaking of coming out of hibernation

I've walked by this car for 3 months not knowing it was there. Yesterday it said Hello.

Today I got to drive the Great White again

Right now I'm on the ferry with the car happily smiling on the car deck.

Tomorrow it is time to hit autobahn for probably an exercise in patience.

I hope to make it to Nürburg in time for the evenings tourist driving.

Friday I've booked a training/Permit B course.
I have the Permit B but I need more laps then an evenings tourist driving before the race I participate in on Saturday.

I'll try to post some info about the course when home again.

Dropped by my dealer who had this really good looking GT3 for sale. Cup front, duck tail, BBS etc.

I agree! Time to get in line for the 50th Anniversary Carrera RS (coming in ~4 years) with optics similar to the car above (but color keyed wheels/script more like this):

Good luck at the Ring, Dan
