RCN: You just need National A license
VLN: You need International C and Permit B
N24H: You need international C and Permit A

Regarding the Permits or DPN A,B and C

Thank you all!

I wonder if N24H is the Race of the Year - for me personally definitely.

To illustrate it:

This race will be with me forever. Stepped out of the car this Sunday. Now it is Wednesday and it is with me every minute of the day - and night. Very difficult to focus on work - yes, I do work from time to time

Did a yoga class yesterday - that was good.

I get asked the question "How was it?!" a lot and to be honest it is very difficult to answer it properly because there is so much information to process.
On the surface it was "Awesome", "Magnificent", "Best thing ever".
But it is actually so much more: It is the some of all its parts and that is so much more than the above statements.
Very difficult to put a word on it - it is an overwhelming feeling.

It is like Lady Nürburgring has touched your heart.

I guess it is like a religion - The church of Nürburg and I have seen the light - even though if was from a GT3 car coming up from behind in Schwedenkreutz.

One thing though that was very important in how the race went and how good I feel now was my co-drivers.
I knew my co-driver from RCN and VLN very well - we have the same mindset.

The other two guys where unknown to us until Thursday when we started to drive.
Ben had done one N24H before, done a lot RCN's and a couple of VLN's and Kev had done 6 N24H's and been racing since he was 18, he was the semi-pro-driver that we could lean on and getting experience from.

All four us became a very tight group very fast - no guy with an ego that needed to prove himself.
Everyone listened to everyone and together we where strong.
All guys supported the poor guy who put the car into the tire wall exciting the pits.
He blamed himself - got support by the other drivers - got his act together and did a great job finishing his stint after the accident.
The cause of the accident was that the team let him leave the pits without pumping the brake pedal as the brake pads had been changed.

I rather finish 5th in class together with guys I like than 1st in class with someone I don't like.

A great guy with a funny race suit

Back to the topic of Best Race in the World.

4 minutes is all it takes. Happens more here than a complete F1 race.

Included is Kevin Estre not seeing the yellow flags.

Kobalt, you can now read again the post #1727

It is a drug and nothing can surpass the emotion level of being a member of a good team. Just let me know when you would like to discover LM24 It seems to be really different than the N24.

I was wondering this morning, why isn't there a 24 Hours race in Scandinavia, in summer? A track located into the Arctic circle could be fun with a race without night period.

"As a team member, your are focused on YOUR car and the cars of the same category. This is also great from a sport point of view, because at the end of the race, this is YOUR team's result, good, bad or mitigate.
But you can't follow the race in general."

^Very true!

LM24: I do not I have the pockets for that :-)

There is a new track opened in the north of Sweden: https://www.google.com/maps/search/?...5.1164,20.7592 https://drivecenter.se

The Midnightsun Race is run the week before N24H but it wasn't an endurance race but a lot of different sprint races.

But his new track is located right and is the longest track in Sweden (4.2km's) so I guess it should work.
I'm going there on Saturday to do a Porsche Club trackday.

Wonderful sentiments, (and as a tarmac rally guy) - I would say this, its not where you finish but how you finish! Simply finishing is a major achievement the emotion that comes from that is huge because to finish there will have been near misses, mechanical problems, driver problems, weather problems etc etc - yet you finished as a team - the triumph of human endeavour over the elements, working as a group, be they made by man or the ether.

Well done!

Here's the Opel Astra that lured me into the gravel trap in Aremberg. Same corner, close call, Opel is indicating right so it is not his fault in this case.

Cool driving in the Merc:

"This event has been on my bucket list for quite some time, and it did not disappoint.
The racing was excellent, as expected, but the atmosphere was so much more than I thought it would be.
If you have the opportunity to attend, it’s an absolute must."

If you go there: Try to get a ticket to the pit boxes. You can enter any box you want one of these. The pitboxes are a special place, especially so in the night. I don't think you can buy them, you must get them from a team.
