I don't know but it's probably the case.
To put it in comparison, a standard GT3 with a setup clocks around 2:40.

Yes I did,

No rubbing, not in Fuchsröhre either.

One thing eludes me though: It was my left rear tire that needed to be replaced because of rubbing. Not sure where that comes from on the track: I guess Ex Muhle - but I haven't heard any rubbing in Ex Muhle.

The car is 2 mm higher in the front and 5 mm in the rear.

FWIW:
I had hearable rubbing between Flugplats and Schwedenkreutz during maybe my 10 first laps. Then that noise disappeared.

In Fuchsröhre I avoided driving (too) fast because the noise there was really messing up my concentration.

Are you sure that the outside cording / wear is from rubbing?
My car had exactly the same wear but before it did any rubbing.

It went away with stiffening the rear bar and my guess is that with the *** sitting high the car leans over too much and in combination with RWS creates that wear.

Also when I did have big rubbing out the outside edge rear, I didn't cord the tires there quickly due to rear alsway bar stuff and -2.7 camber.

This goes against what others posted as well that the wear was due to touching the body work, but it doesn't match my experience..

I can not be absolutely sure... Actually I saw that the tire had gentle marks in them, I assumed from the fenders, and when Porsche adjusted it they mentioned in the protocol that the tire was corded.

I will watch my rears carefully to see if you might be right.

Ok, I guess it always hard to say a solid laptime, it will depend on who we ask and also hard to know stock or whats done to a car in regards of camber. Thanks for replys anyway.

On short flat hockenheim a stock GT4 is 0,5 seconds slower than a stock 991 GT3. (Same driver)

That GT4 was 1379kg vs GT3 1448kg.
My GT4 is 1430kg, cant wait to see how it will go on a track like SPA.

Short flat 2,6km hockenheim is not spa, we know that, just wanted to mention that 0,5 sec is much faster in that short track. After 20 laps a GT4 is way back even in this short track. Also a factor that will favor a power car on spa would be that most will dare to use the power here I guess?!

( not scary track like Nur)
Sorry for the mambo jambo in your thread:-)

I hear Former Porsche tester Timo Kluck mention that a 991 GT3 RS should rubb twice going thru foxhole, that way you know you got propper speed thru the hole. One rubb just in the deepest compression and One slightly rubb going out of compression.

Both works driver in 991 GT3 RS and M4 GTS lift before the hole, they bothe vmax 260 gps down there. At SwedenX Timo Kluck is vmax 270km in 991 RS, it would go just as fast in the foxhole with no lift☺️.

it rubbs twice there for me (or at least did). But doing 260 there makes my mind boggle.
Not much left for error handling

I think 918 did +300 at SchwedenX, ouch...

I wish!
I'm much, much braver at Spa then at the Ring. I might have a chance RS against you in GT4.

Sell the GTS, you're fast enough

Would be nice to meet up again, still Its a long way to SPA/NUR from over there(USA)

I am sure it would be hard to keep up with you on SPA, I have no clu where I would put my GT4 there in terms of laptime. But sure is fun to find out.

Thanks, might just sell it, and let manthey do their GT4 kit to my car for next summer. Then its just as fast as M4 GTS anyway:-)

We could easily meet at the Nurburgring in tourist drives!

I don't think I will go to any private trackdays for the rest of the year.
Unless I find a good deal, haha!

I have not been to Nur this year, but would like to get there in synk with my spa event 9-12 ocktober. But touristdriving would burn down my brakes😆, not to keen on that. But then again late sep could be nice, no tourist on track, so brakes will be fine😆

If I do Sport Auto I guess I'll be at the Ring from 11-16 October. Maybe PistenClub on the 11th.
Nothing decided yet.

I'd also like to go one trip in September as well - not sure if it is possible.
