We drive the GTS and the GTR back to back for an hour or so.

In short: Not a car for me on track. Too little feedback for my taste. Really nice GT car though. Found it difficult to apply throttle smoothly. Very fast but a bit binary both power delivery and brakes. Maybe if I got to drive it more we would be better friends.

AMG put 2.8 bar in the tires. Possibly the layers fault so the cars did not behave as good as they can. Weird.

Anyhow: it was a great gesture of AMG to provide us with these great cars for us to drive on the Nürburgring GP track, I really appreciate it.

I love the car.
But of course the big quliestion is track fun and reliability.

I was hoping it would be a more precise sledge hammer I imagine the GT2RS to be...
The GTR is half the price, heavier and so I guess it’s wishful dreaming....

It is much more precise then the GTS.

I'm sure it is fun when you get used to it.

One wish that guys like you got the opportunity to test drive it on track before getting it.
But that is how it works in this world.

It’s really cool of AMG to offer test drives like that.
So close yet so far, would have loved a test drive like that!

There is only one in FL as far as I know.
It goes to the track but in Renntech trim and very minimal.

In proper AMG tradition to buy and test drive one for a few weekends would cost 20% depreciation ...

If you drive it long enough I’m sure it will be fun. Sure sounds like it’s a fun car.
Black series will be the real track version...
