Reference Guide to PTS
#3451
Just thought I'd post some new colours and codes to give a sense of where Porsche's new colour development went this year. They came from a search of the Glasurit site for 2017 onwards.
Of the known colours, Burgundy red and Ristretto brown are new Panny colours. Biskaya and Purpurite are Cayenne colours. Goldgelb is from the TTS ES.
Frozenberry has been spotted on a test 991 (see photo below). Enzian blue may be the same as a BMW Individual ("PTS") colour done since at least around 2012, so maybe a PTS request and not a factory colour. Maybe same for Quartzite grey (PTS borrowed from Bentley??). Not sure about the rest (Cartagena yellow?, Dolomite silver met?, Lizard green?, Mamba green met?, Frozen blue met?). Mamba green is interesting since the name seems to invoke Viper to me, and may represent the latest in some metallic green tests (which previously included Magic bamboo met). Lizard green would be interesting since it may be one of the first new solid greens in a while (does it have anything to do with the Flying Lizard Motorsports team perhaps?). Anyone have more info?

fxz, can you describe mambagrun for us, and how you know about its debut on the next RS? Is it a light or dark green? Is it quite obviously metallic, or is the flake very fine and subtle? Thanks!

Caramba Bambagrün!
Daniel was the first person on Rennlist that heard about 'Bamboo Green Metallic',
or 'BambaGrünMetallic' (color code Y76).
Some might remember that Daniel & I teamed up to ask some pretty high managers
at PAG about this color in 2015....

Eduardo, I was a little confused by the new info on Mamba since it’s M6S. I’m not sure it is exactly the same as Bamboo Y76. Perhaps we’ve witnessed how names and codes may change. Or perhaps there are two different greens here. Recall the Cayenne advertised as Bamboo and your tester Panny both appeared darker (to me) than the Turbo, recognizing that photos lie. Maybe the Turbo is Mamba and the Cayenne/Panamera not. ???

Gentlemen, here is the second known PAG-owned car sporting Frozen Berry Metallic. I've featured this one on my page earlier.
And here is a brand new one, sporting what is called "Black Pepper Metallic". Also a PAG-owned car.
