The Manischewitz (in case I lose
the wager
) is presently safe in a
secured wine room in Scottsdale
waiting to see how PAG decides
who gets PTS in the .2 991 gt3
here in the US.

In the meantime, I brought Andre
some Daou Cabernet from Paso
Robles (CA) & we drank his great
'Twelve' Pinot Noir from Oregon
prior to dinner.

And at dinner we had two bottles of
a delicious Patricia Green Pinot Noir,
also from Oregon.

Andre & his wife hosted us last night
at their lovely home in Portland. We
got to see his 'orange' Chevy & parked
our new (to us) .17 .2 991 Carrera S in
the space reserved for his upcoming PTS
.2 991 gt3!

I will have more to say about the purchasing
experience re: this manual MY2017 .2 991
Carrera S coupe...but I will save that for
another day.

We had a great 24 hours in Portland & now
we start our trek back to Arizona!

I read older threads and you

safest PTS colour to get. I am
just worried its going to be full

you think Eduardo ?
The others don't know what

I personally love it! And the
less that color it's ordered in
America, the more 'rare' your

Yes, it's somewhat lighter that
'Mexico Blue'...but an equally
rich & impressive color on a
911 body shape!

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...xico-blue.html

The lighter 'Riviera Blue' belongs to
a friend (Rolling Art). And the 'Mexico
Blue' gt3 belongs to Larry Cable!

Looks 'Riviera Blue' to me. And talking
about intentional lack of transparency,
why doesn't PAG & PCNA amend their
official window sticker (Monroney) policy
to include (even if not required by law!)
in parenthesis the exact PTS color of
the damn car they built! It's just silly,
confusing...& intentional obfuscation!

As a former member of the exclusive "Riviera Club," I concur w/Señor Eduardo. Beautiful PTS choice; I'm tempted every time I see an example of it.

Eduardo do you have the most recent "approved" PTS list for 991.2 GT3 by any chance? And if not, do you know if saffron yellow is an approved color?
Thanks

It is not approved yet as a PTS color
on any model. 'Safrangelbmetallic'
is presently being kept as an exclusive
color (Mehrschichtlackierung/Multi-Layer
Paint Finish) for the .2 991 911 Turbo &
Turbo S!

After PAG decided to make the PTS
approved list 'Confidential' in the
summer of 2015, I could not longer
get a copy directly from Porsche!

But all is not lost! So now I get the updated
PTS lists (same as my weiners!) from a much
'Higher Authority'!

Hi Eduardo, just picked up a Grigio Campovolo (old Abarth color) Turbo S - do you know if there is a way to find out how many Turbo's are painted in this color - thanks,

Helmut

Beautiful car & color, Helmut.
I have never been told by
PAG how many of each PTS
colors they have made. But
every once in a while persons
here at Rennlist claim they
were told something related
to a particular color. Not sure
how accurate the info is. But
I am not privy to it regardless!

Hi Eduardo! I sold my Mexico Blue 7.2 GT3 last week to make room for a 991.2 GT3 hopefully in Voodoo Blue (V180 awaiting V215)

If you are still in the Newport Beach area you may see a familiar color and car

Congratulations, Larry. Nein, I am now
back in Scottsdale. But perhaps I'll see
it next time I visit Newport Beach. Did
it go to a private party or to the Porsche
store in Newport?

I have fond memories of that car. I was
called by salesperson Lance Gearing,
formerly of Porsche of Monterey and
now at Porsche of Beaverton in OR,
to come see it when it arrived. That
was around Jan 25th, 2010. This gt3
was ordered by them with wonderful
specs & tastefully optioned. Great
that you eventually bought it shortly
after it arrived!

***
I am wishing you & all the others in Andre's list
waiting for PTS on the .2 991 gt3 much success!
But I must tell you that I am concerned & worried
as to why PAG is taking so much time to approved
these PTS requests from PCNA. As you know, most
other markets (Germany, Australia, Middle East,
Canada) have definitive slots approved for those
selected for PTS on their .2 991 gt3 allocations &
currently have higher V200+ status. Yet in our
market, PTS is still in 'limbo'. PAG Germany is
back from vacation yet no news yet. I am hoping
the decision is shortly made & PCNA is informed
by Germany of those (hopefully all) confirmed
for PTS from the current V180 status!

Hi Eduardo, yes my baby has gone to a new owner in S.Cal...

I recall her being advertised on Craigslist of all places, late Dec!

I happened across her by accident, having been at Laguna Seca for a trackday and failing sound, I drove my Cobalt Blue GT3
down to the O'Reilly parts place to get a rubber grommet to
stop the exhaust flaps opening ... and I passed this gorgeous
car in the window of Monterey ... the rest is history!

strangely, no one had taken an interest in the car for around 4 months at that time.

I swore I would never sell her, but Brett @ Sonnen got me an
allocation for a 991.2 GT3, and the lure of that beast overwhelmed me!

I too am wondering why PAG & PCNA have not moved on the N.A PTS orders, although I am somewhat shocked at the
sheer number of requests that are tabulated on the PTS thread elsewhere in the forum!

Hopefully they will come thru with my Voodoo Blue order ...
failing that it will have to be Sapphire for me

Best Regards

- Larry

Lance Gearing is in Portland?! Good to know -- I bought a GT3 from him while he was at Lithia's Monterey store and wondered what happened to him.

My PTS production month has moved to March. Don't know if that's a positive step but hard to believe all of us are just going through the motions for grins. I'm hopeful anyway...

+1! ... I know this since the MB GT3 in that pitcure on the left was mine.
