Moved MY2014 to MY2015

Eduardo is mistaken on this. I am a 2014 VIN car which got halted on Mar 20(V270) and Porsche is now saying I will get my engine on August 29. I am one of the last 2014s. Then will come the 2015s beginning with the April and May guys that got pushed to MY 2015. They are scheduled for Spetember forward. Porsche isn't going to produce a 2015 in June before my darn 2014 in August. Further, the 2015s for June on are not going to jump the line in front of the April and May cars pushed to 2015 cars. Let's get serious, everyone will experience the delay.

MCSMCS1, I have to agree with you on this. I dare not say Eduardo is wrong, because he is.... EDUARDO and he has posted some awesome info. That said, I can't argue with your logic. It seems inconceivable to me that PAG would build my car before yours... or a MY2015 regular guy before my rescheduled March build thats now a MY2015! Thats why I'm amazed he suggested this.

Thank you Eduardo!!!! I will be at curbside pick up, United, Terminal 6 at 7:15 Sharp. I have a small satellite office right near LAX, on Century Blvd. We can get the whole thing done in 5 minutes. Before you know what happened (or I should say, before I KNOW what happened), you will be on your flight back to Monterey........
just kidding RUF RS...good health man!

I sincerely hope you are wrong on this. I would expect the same priority be granted to those who had their 2014 builds bumped to 2015 be put at the head of the 2015 line now, much along the lines of what Porsche is saying they will do with the 2014 engine replacements; first in, first out...
We will know the plan soon enough!
Eduardo. Fantastic email. Your memory is excellent. Your knowledge too. Makes some of my communications look very clumsy! I believe the current GT3 dilemma may have played havoc with Porsches calender for that model. The next "scratch" produced GT3s are likely to be MY 2015 as you say which could come as soon as late May but my suspicion is June. However I would be surprised in light of current circumstances Porsche continue to produce the GT3 in volume beyond October. The 991 GT3RS timetable is rumoured to have slipped. Again its essential both of these models complete their production before further changes in Euro emissions compliance regulations. German auto industry bought a rain cheque (largely arguing on the basis of GFC economics and the final revival of the Euro auto industry) but I suspect Europe is returning to form quicker than anticipated, Euro car manufacturers are again posting significant profits, and legislation may be back with a vengeance in 2015. Its very hard to understand if Porsche have the fortitude to continue with a thirsty NA engine for GT3 in future model generations, but I sure hope so. The good thing about the volume Macan is it will be lowering their product mix emissions average rating...

Eduardo, you never cease to amaze me with the depth and breadth of the information you possess! I'm still enjoying the Clint Eastwood airline ticket too! But here's the deal. I DID NOT have a late MY2014 GT3 allocation. I HAD a Feb 2014 allocation. I was V210 ready to go! And they switched me. They VX99'd my order. NOW.. I have a September allocation for MY2015. I'm not unhappy with a MY2015 don't get me wrong. So I am a BUMPED guy as you state. So I'll ask my question again, Is there a chance I get built before September as you stated could happen?
I would also ask Matthias put you ahead of Conekilr's gt3...but that will not be necessary. The Canadian's PTS in 'Mode Grau' will not be build for at least 5 months! 'Porsche Exclusive' will probably not do its paint-to-sample batches until that time...at the earliest. That's their speed - slow and...slower!
Saludos,
Eduardo

@ Eduardo
I haven't actually heard of anyone with a June, July or August build scheduled and in the system with a commission number. If they exist, maybe they can weigh in.
Secondly, it is inconceivable that a MY 2014 partially built and sitting at the factory would get its engine subsequent to a MY 2015. It is the same engine, so why not put it in the 2014 and get the car out of there? PCNA has assured me that no 2015 gets built before the 2014s have an engine. FIFO

WE all must keep in mind that what happened to the GT3"s was unprecedented. As a result, Porsche is taking unprecedented actions. Eduardo may be right if Porsche acts if nothing happened to the GT3's. Thus far, that has not been the case. They have not followed their standard practices and may not do so in dealing with the Y2015 GT3's.
To allow production and delivery of the 2015's while 2014's sit and wait for an engine is something up until now Porsche has indicated it would not do and would be very costly for them to do so. It also would generate so much anger among 2014 owners it could lead to litigation. The paltry $66 a day would never make up for the massive depreciation to the Y2104 models should 2015 be on the road before 2014's.

Does it seem like everyone is getting a 'September' build regardless of when your initial build was? It seems like march, April, may, everyone is just being told September. Something doesn't add up...

Crap, NOBODY'S told me ANYTHING. I wish somebody would cough up a date, even if it was BS.
