1:33.0 at Laguna Seca 991.2 RS
Thanks to @oldskews4 for putting on a great event a Laguna Seca today. I was able to set a new personal best of 1:33.0 with my RS today. I'm quite happy with that, but clearly the car can do 1:32s, so I'll keep pushing the next time I'm out.
Car was running OEM dunlop sport maxx race 2 tires. I set them at 27F/29R psi stone cold, went out and drove the car slowly at first, but progressively faster. By the 5th lap I pushed for my flyer and got 1:33.0. When I came in, tire pressures were at 35F/38psi. I dropped them down to 33/36psi and went out again right away. Continued to get 1:33s, but nothing better. Weather started to get warm too. I'm wondering if next time I should not even bleed any pressure at all and just start out 27/29 and call it a day. Running AP calipers and rotors with Ferodo DS3.12 pads

Coming over the crest of that hill before turn 1 looks really thrilling. Got to make my way down there with my GT3 one day.

Thanks, everyone!
1:32s next for us. Just a question of who will get there first! LOL
Theoretical best shows mid 1:32s. There were other laps where I carried more entry and apex speed while still getting a good exit (ie, I'm coming into the corners too slow) I need to work on my trail braking. T6 in this run only had an apex speed of 80mph. I've carried 84mph through there. You're right though, it's gonna be tough to put it all together into one fast lap. That's how I lost the championship racing this season. First place guy was uncatchable because he was able to pull off every corner perfectly lap after lap.

Nice track time. I run my best times in my RS at 29/31 hot with MPCS2N2 or even my Michelin Cup “R” rubber. On a faster track like LS or RA, maybe run a tad bit higher at 30/32 or 31/33 hot. That will be the ticket.
