Why run 36psi in the rear? Does Dunlop recommend that high a pressure?

I have no idea what dunlop recommends. I just know that, for me, the car is fastest when the rear tire pressures are between 36-38psi. Any lower, and the back end 'binds' instead of slipping when at the limit. Slip angle is faster.

Great lap! Really impressive speed.

FWIW I asked the Manthey guys earlier this year about pressures for the Dunlop's and they also said 36/37 reward is idea in their experience. Def likes more pressure and works better longer than the Cup2s.

I'm still amazed (being an old 3-pedal guy) how well full automatic works at the track. That's some pretty clever software for sure.

Yeah auto mode works perfectly at Thill and laguna. At Sonoma I like to short shift for T5 and T8, so manual comes in handy there

Gas or brake, hardly anything in between. The tach never seems to touch 9000 rpm, looks like 8800 - 8900 interesting for a 1.2. The intake temperature is very cool - what set up are you using?

BTW, did you forget to buckle your chin strap?

Damn, I was wondering when someone would notice. Nice job. Yeah, as soon as I pulled in, I realized and was like, "crap!"

Yes, nice and cool morning start, which is nice. I'm logging with an aim solo DL using the obd2 port. Sony action cams and race render software to overlay.

Great video. I can feel that front end turn-in through my computer screen.

Wicked laps Joe, especially when you consider it was on street tires, I had some friends from Quebec, Canada (running slicks) out there for their first time and said there were a few cars flying out there...with you being one of them. Hope they weren't holding you up while they learned the track. You'll have to make a trip East one day to see our great tracks.

Wow, that’s fast. The flat 6 sounds demonic. Great video too,

Car was running OEM dunlop sport maxx race 2 tires. I set them at 27F/29R psi stone cold, went out and drove the car slowly at first, but progressively faster. By the 5th lap I pushed for my flyer and got 1:33.0. When I came in, tire pressures were at 35F/38psi. I dropped them down to 33/36psi and went out again right away. Continued to get 1:33s, but nothing better. Weather started to get warm too. I'm wondering if next time I should not even bleed any pressure at all and just start out 27/29 and call it a day.
