Default Stress fracture in GT3RS Rear Window

Getting ready for my 4th session at the Sebring Chin event yesterday I noticed a fracture that looks like a large tennis racket. It is on the interior layer of the new glass. I decided not to run for obvious safety reasons and plan to take the car in tomorrow. Any one else experience this problem?

That's Gorilla Glass, right? If there's no surface damage on the outside (or inside) but there's some sort of fracture on the interior layer, that's pretty obvious nothing actually hit it. So hopefully it's covered under warranty.

I wish they used gorilla glass for the windshield.

No impact point interior or exterior, so I assume stress crack. Should be warranty.

i assume

Saw this on many .2s in Europe, it seems the gorilla glass can do this. Not sure if it will be covered, it wasn't with the Swedish guys I ran with at spa but I could be wrong

Happened to me too. Crack is from the inside. I kept driving with no problems. Might have to ask them to just give me regular glass if this keeps happening. Porsche must be exaggerating how much they actually test these cars.

I traced the crack outline.

Same here. Problem now is what to do when it cracks again. Seems inevitable

Crap, I hate those annoying little things that consume time to take the car to a dealer. Mclaren is looking more and more attractive

Joe,
We can get the .1 rear window, but we have to pay for it. We can keep replacing the gorilla under warranty.

Thanks. question is if the glass keeps breaking, it turns into a constant pita to have to go back to the dealer.
