Besides, we all know white GT3’s, with the PDK, PCCB’s, black wheels and 18 way seats are the best. Obviously. lol

When I get out of my Spyder and into my Golf R, I have to be careful not to dislocate my knee the first time I depress the clutch pedal.

I own a .2 GT3 with a manual and buckets, previously owned a .1 and a 997.2 GT3 as well as a list of other 911s. I daily drive a 2018 M2 with a manual and have a 2019 M2C incoming; again manual.

FWIW, I find the .2 GT3 to be the best car I have owned and I loved PDK-S. I very much enjoyed the heavy clutch in my 997 but still like the different, albeit lighter, clutch feel in my .2 991 no less. Of course, the M2's clutch and shifting are not in the same league but works well at the respective price point.

More manual .2s being reportedly listed for sale due to the manual being a poor transmission and/or not designed for the engine's characteristics is nonsense imo. As others have pointed out consider the 911R and its only transmission choice.

As Grant pointed out, the .2 is basically an R with a better engine lacking the optional LWFW.

ABSOLUTE nonsense! I'll venture to call it BS actually! Goes in line with " Europeans buy pdk because grandmas there drive manual "...

My daily car has a stiff clutch and it takes a little adjustment going back and forth for me too.
Flintstones has a Touring
I also have a 987 Boxster - even that has a harder clutch than GT3T (original).
I need more seat time with the car.

Worst clutch experience was a 2016 Subaru Impreza STi.
Very light and zero feeling. Gt3T clutch spring is light but you can really feel it. I decided not to buy it.

Since then my 991.1/991.2 GT3 and 991.2 GTS are all PDK, and I have no desire for manual in those cars at all.

Now if I got a Boxster or something for cruising around I would get a manual in a heartbeat, but for the higher power 911s a manual doesn't fit how I want to drive those cars.
This is how I feel as well. I would probably buy a GT3 in PDK (if I was in the market). I drive a 981 Spyder but would likely add a TTS before looking at a GT3. The new PDK is great. Huge improvement over the 997.2, which I really didn't care for.

I have to agree with something being lost in the experience without the third pedal... but the PDK seems like a very natural fit the the engine in the GT3... I have a 15 GT3 in PDK (obviously) but went a different direction to cure my itch for the third pedal...

i went and and got a 2018 GT350 - which is also a blast to drive and that engine has a set of lungs close to the GT3’s...

Two great cars, two similar but different personalities... one happy owner :-)

i bought manual

i realized i cant drive
then i money shifted trying to park it in garage, in addition to hitting my kid's bike. luckily he's not on the bike.

The gearbox and the clutch are two different things. The best Porsche gearbox ever is the Carrera GT. The second best is the 997 4.0.

Clutch feel- 981 Spyder/ GT4 is really good, but 3.6RS might be best. R and new GT3 are too light to be best ever. 993GT2 might be best feel/ weight combo.
