I agree on the torque and overall power but the sound the NA FLAT six Is so much better.
Boxier is tempting.

Just got the good news on an allocation this PM. Commission # C49--- , lock date 7/7/18, delivery in Sarasota 10/26.
One condition of the deal, cannot track the '18 GT Silver GT3 anymore and trade it in. Just cancelled CHIN at Sebring for this weekend and all plans for summer track dates.
Going with black and need to pick between the aurum or satin aluminum wheels. Any thoughts?

Congrats! Satin Alum is pretty timeless, IMO. Can't really go wrong either way on black exterior, though.

Haha, I put in my build as well last week and it looks very similar to yours except I got black wheels (also no Weissach or PCCB). I initially wanted green, but I also believe the same. I don't think I have the chance at PTS, so I didn't try. Your delivery date is a lot earlier than mine. My deliver looks to be around Halloween.

Have '16 GT3RS and looking forward to this new beast. Stuck with white as I think green will be over built and PTS will probably not happen (we'll see).

Now the wait.

Everyone around me want me to get the green as it is unique color for this year and I think it will be over built but it looks nice and different. My other choice is to get the black with black wheels with the lizard green lip and green interior.
then may be get lizard green stripes on the car like the 911 r.
i have appt with porsche exclusive guys.
I don’t know if it can be done.

I'm thinking the non Weissach cars will be the lookers in the .2, but I really love me some carbon so I had to go for the Weissach package in Black with the Gold wheels. Anyone know if the Weissach package is delaying builds? Mine now has a Sept build with Euro delivery after the 21st in Leipzig, at first it seemed like a July build without the Weissach but I think Sept is the last month of GT2RS builds so it may have pushed the Weissach GT3RS builds to later oh well it works out perfect for me. Anyone else picking up late Sept Early October?

WP is less of a delay the big delay is if you want magnesium wheels. There is lot of demand less supply.

Congratulations. You may have one of the first .2RS's to hit the US. We are all waiting with baited breath to see if these early cars have the particulate filter. My build per dealer today has already moved forward from 8/31 to 8/1 even though the date of completion still shows 9/7 and to dealer still shows 10/26. Build Code here... http://www.porsche-code.com/PK4W8U93

My guess is that if these early cars to the US don't have the new particulate filter than none of the US bound cars will. Reason being that Porsche will put on whatever is cheaper for them so early cars if w/out filter means it must be cheaper. Same for the early cars in EU prior to 9/1. If these cars don't have the filter, then i think ROW stays non-filter even past the 9/1 date. My 2 cents (although maybe worth less) .

my build is finished first week of September; told Porsche to give me first date available for delivery...still waiting for official date but suspect will be around same time as you. Then down to Alps for mountain blasts!
