The Official Boxster/Cayman Rim (Wheel) Showoff Thread!

Opinions are like...lots of shops/mfgs' have their own ideas on the perfect setup.
With a ET57 front offset, your front wheels will be far too sunk into the wheel well for my liking. I prefer more aggressive offsets.
I should be fine, I've had two wheel mfgs tell me my setup would work. Some even suggested more aggressive offsets/tire combo's.
WIth that said, I'm on stock (non PASM, non x73) suspension. I have a good amount of clearance for this forthcoming setup.

Understood. I guess where I'm coming from is what are the acceptable widths and offset ranges for 19s for a 987.2 so that it's still safe, not rubbing etc.. I know next to nothing about this. If you can share, that will be much appreciated. I'm non PASM and on stock suspensions.
I've had the following feedback from multiple places:
VS Forged told me:
19x8.5 +45 offset
19x10 +38 offset
235/40 - 265/40
Titan told me:
19x9 +48
19x10 +35
245/40 265/40
Flat6 Motorsports told me they like:
19x9 +50 front (265/35/19)
19x10 +38 rear (285/35/19)
(this setup would leave a bunch of wheel gap however - not recommended with standard suspension)
ModBargains told me:
19x8.5 - 45 offset
19x10 - 40 offset
235/40 & 275/40
With that said, I'm going:
19x8.5 - 45 offset
19x10 - 40 offset
245/40 & 275/40
Should be aggressive fitment, without rubbing.

WRT spacers.. is this within the recommended width for spacers? What is the maximum width recommended before safety issues? Real novice questions but I know nothing about all this.
Thanks again.

ECS supply's wheel spacers up to 25 mm thick with the correct lug bolt. The important part is this is additional weight and torque to your suspension system. The wheels need to be heavily torqued and repeated on a regular basis. Some organizations either prohibit or limit the use of wheel spacers due to safety concerns.

Well, the wheels just showed up. I think I most certainly got what I paid for and more. For $1850 delivered, I'm pretty certain they were a smokin' deal.
They're very light and look pretty darn good. It's clear by the weight that they're truly forged wheels.
The brushed finish isn't perfect but oh well, I guess I can't complain too much for the price, so as long as they hold up. It is kind-of cool that I got to design my own center cap.
Anyhow, I'm getting Yokohama V105 tires mounted tomorrow and will post pics on the car.
In the meantime:
