Yes correct, and torque goes to 273 in GTS Boxster and to 280 in GTS Cayman.

No, but I did get an email with this video from The Committee. They must have known I have a weakness for 'Groupthink'...plus anything amply covered with Alcantara®!

If you notice in the configurator the other 2 special colors specifically say metallic but not the Carmine.
You might be right and 'Carmine Red' could be a 'solid' color. I like those better than most metallic 'reds' in any case. Hope this can get confirmed by someone affiliated directly with 'Porsche Exclusive' and PCNA soon!

Hopefully it will be available for the rest of MY2014 ??
Again, that sounds correct. It should be available for what limited time remains of MY2014 production and only gets dropped for MY2015 & beyond (e.g. starting approx. June of 2014)!

A base 981 + X73 (sport suspension) + sport wheel with 18" wheels is oodles more purist than this GTS, and $20k cheaper to boot. Everything else is PAG marketing fluff.

Just make the darn things lighter and stop playing idiotic "power" games like putting the exact same 3.4 DFI engine in all these cars and "giving" them these HPs:
315hp Boxster S
325hp Cayman S
330hp Boxster GTS
340hp Cayman GTS
350hp 911 Carrera

Seriously? Rumors have it they are forming a Committee looking into a 335hp Boxster GTS+ and 345hp Cayman GTS+ featuring door pulls instead of handles. So exciting!!

Not that I care much about non-performance options but this guy has a different calculation:

http://www.planet-9.com/981-chat/888...tml#post832419

Standard features on the GTS which are options on the S are;

Porsche Dynamic Lighting System (PDLS)... $ 690
Model designation on doors...................... $ 300
Tinted Tail lights................................... $ 575
PASM.............................................. ... $1,790
Sport Exhaust..................................... $2,890 (with black exhaust tips on GTS)
20" Carrera S wheels............................ $1,560
Leather Interior w/ Sports Seats Plus........$2,960
Sports Design Steering Wheel (Alcantara)..$ 450
Sports Chrono...................................... $1,850
plus these options not priceable on an S
Black exhaust tips .................................. ?
Blacked out headlights............................. ?
Sport Design front fascia.......................... ?
Total.....................................(at least) $13,065

So, if the base cost is an additional $11,400 for the GTS over the S, the GTS package price is actually discounted slightly from an equalized equipped S, and you get the extra 15hp and pedigree of a GTS.

Do we suppose all these motors are basically the same, with different engine/throttle mapping? Anyone know?

Yes, thx. At least the Spyder and the R made decent attempts to shed weight which makes them stand out from the rest.

Now, when I see the list, I notice two "gaping" HP holes in their model line-up 330-340hp and 340-350hp. The 335/345hp Boxster/Cayman GTS+ that I joked about may not be that far off.
