Vetman, if I recall correctly, there are 'nannies' in the Carrera GT, but not as many as in Porsche's most-up-to-date 'PSM' system. The Carrera GT had 'Traction Control' (TC), which is now a part of the comprehensive 'Porsche Stability Management' (PSM). The GT Carrera lacked a 'Stability Control' function - often called 'ESP' (Electronic Stability Program') or 'ESC' (Electronic Stability Control) by other auto companies. Believe that a similar 'TC only' system was incorporated into the .1 gt3 and RS. The .2 gt3 & RS got full 'PSM'. I think only the 996 gt3 (of the modern gt's) was totally 'nanny-free'...and thus the most challenging!

Ah, thank you. Was just wondering if we were of the same "make".

Looks awesome! Congrats! My first Porsche was a lapis blue Boxster and was my most favorite of all the Porsche's I've owned. I think it might be time to return to the Boxster!
