It can be done,we do cluster conversions in house,without the need to change the whole cluster.
Flash and RAM of multimedia board has to expanded and multimedia board programmed to PCM4 specs,then everything works as from factory.

Cluster remains with your original coding,VIN and adaptations since it is located on the mainboard.
All Porsche clusters have multimedia board attached to mainboard via connector so we will only rework the multimedia board while your mainboard remains in original state.

Point 1 is not good for future.
In case you or the future owner loses the keys to the car,the only way to get replacement is to order from dealer.Since component protection is active in diagnstics(but disabled in PCM4 UI) immobilizer programming will fail.
I would add new gateway with component protection support for PCM4 and online PCM4 component protection programming.

in case of keys you have to disconnect pcm 4, code the gateway to CDR or nothing and do the rest online…
