Holy crap, I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw this ad. This BGTS has an eyewatering $126,600 MSRP.

Listed for arguably a decent price even in a declining market. 1 Owner, 16k miles, Carrara White/GTS Interior and equipped with PCCBs / PDK.

where'd you see the $126k msrp? I don’t think the description is accurately matched for that car. Even saw a reference in the description to a 911 option. My 981 spyder has just about everything that was listed in that description and my MSRP was only $109,000. I honestly don’t know (and may even doubt) if you could build a 2015 Boxster the totaled 125000 with every option checked. I also believe that the heated/vintage seats description is incorrect for this vehicle. Heated - yes, not vented. I don’t believe Porsche offers ventilated seats with the alcantara option on the cayman/boxster series. The headlights look to be xenon PDLS, not LED.

Don’t take it as me trying to poo-poo this vehicle. It does look like a gorgeous car. I just don’t know if there’s $50,000 of MSRP value that you have been led to believe by them selling it for ‘only’ $72k. I bought a 2018 718 boxster GTS with identical mileage and better PCM (factory CarPlay) in the 70k’s also during Covid just to give you a sense of comparison. It had Bose though, and not Burmester.

I am familiar with that dealership. They have some absolutely stunning cars. That Boxster is probably one of the most ‘affordable’ cars that they would ever sell. Not unusual at all for them to have a two or three million dollar Bugatti. I tried to buy a 718 Spyder from them, but they weren’t willing to wiggle enough trade for my 718 Boxster GTS.

good luck! Keep us posted with your ultimate purchase.

Read the description. The option list is for a 911. The car shown is white vs GT silver with a black vs Bordeaux interior. My 15 has nearly the same options as this one minus the PCCB and rear back up but is amore desirable and rare 5 speed. I see other options my car has this is missing on this car and only had an MSRP of $88k. It has 24k miles and I doubt I could get close to $72K. A nicely optioned Gt4 just was traded in the other day for $80k so I suspect my GTS manual is worth less.

This site has moderately solid original MSRP and options pricing https://www.motortrend.com/cars/porsche/boxster/2015

I guess the big drivers here are PCCB, Burmester, Adaptive Cruise, PDK etc. but even then without PTS, I'm struggling to believe the 120k+.

You're definitely right that the option list shown on their website is incorrect, which is why i linked the vinanalytics. But it definitely does seem like everyone is correct, the options list has some high $ items but nothing to warrant a 126k. Definitely a very rare BGTS nonetheless, PCCB with PTV, Burmesters, 18 way sofas, and heck 1 owner.

Interesting car for a discussion to refresh the thread a bit

Where did you see about the GT4 being traded in? I am actually already thinking about moving my PDK 981 BGTS into a GT4. Lied to myself and said I could live with a PDK as a weekend car, but I just miss a manual too much.

I actually purchased a 981 BGTS last year for 67k, well optioned, just occasionally follow the market to see how the pricing goes. I am debating if I should wait for the car market to cool off even more and get into a 718 Spyder/GT4, or just go and grab a 981 GT4 now (not too of the 981 Spyder personally). I've always wanted to drive a turbo 4 718 GTS, but never had the opportunity. Driven a 718 GTS 4.0 and that spoiled me so hard that I daydream about the 718 Spyders/GT4s.

having the experience with both - I traded a 718 boxster GTS (with the turbo 4) for a 981 Spyder. There is so much similarity and crossover parts between them that it’s crazy to barely consider them different generations. All the accessories I had for my 718 carried down to my 981. There is no comparison to the exhaust sound. 981 stock sounds better hands down. I prefer the NA 6cyl over the 4cyl turbo. No turbo spooling in the 981. Immediate response.

some (many) may think that I actually took a step backwards to go from a 718 to a 981 but I’m really happy that I did. Actually had to pay another 30k in addition to my 718 trade for the 981. The only thing I miss is the Apple CarPlay PCM.

I would not move from a 981 back to a 718 right now… The only exception I would make is if there was anyway I could get my hands on a 718 spyder RS!!!!

Porsche Fairfield had a white GT4 that came back on Vinanalytics w/ an MSRP of 122 iirc and I thought that was pretty high. It was pretty stacked though; oem Lightweight battery, pccb, buckets, and a host of other small things that added up pretty quickly. It was a really nice example.

They going by Porsche of Fairfield? I am shocked I thought they would never give up the Paul Miller name. The car is at Englewood Porsche. Previously Town. However I think my son is trying to grab it.

The Vinalyitcs listing comes up the same either link and both have it as GT silver over red.

No, this was Fairfield, CT.

Car was sold a month or two ago.
