Just saw one on the Porsche locator from the dealer in Greensboro asking nearly $60k! It has only 11k miles, but doesn't have either of the options you mentioned.

From my experience, pre-COVID, a good price for a manual 981 Boxster S with your spec and mileage would have been mid/high 40’s. Nowadays, a good price would be anything in the low 50’s - if you can get one today in the mid/high 40’s, that would be a steal.

There are still some around in the upper $40k's but they have been going up fast in the last few months. It is no longer uncommon to see them at $55k or more.

Depends on if you are looking at manual or PDK, and Boxster or Cayman. Manuals command a premium over PDK (a couple grand), and Caymans command a premium over Boxsters (also a couple grand).

Buy it, you will love it. Who cares if the prices are a bit hot right now. There is always more money and there is never more time. And, this price seems reasonable, especially with some sporty goodies.

Thanks Just waiting on a DME report from the dealership and if all checks out, tomorrow I'll be wiring the $ and picking it up on the weekend for final inspection before driving it back down to CA

Wow, $38k for a 38k-mile 6-Speed Cayman with X73 and PSE? Sounds like a pretty good deal to me! 38k miles is pretty low for these cars, and it's rare to find a base 981 with both X73 and PSE. Hope the DME report checks out.

Quick market observation re 987.2 and 981 base boxster models, which I have been watching closely for the last few weeks/month: There are very few out there, prices are strong, and good cars sell fast.
Example: A local (Austin) 987.2 with a decent spec (silver/black, 47k miles, manual transmission, 18" wheels, halogen lights) popped up on Autotrader late last week for $28,500 and I scheduled a test drive for Monday morning, but it sold over the weekend - before they posted photos.
On Monday, I stumbled upon a base 2010 Boxster WP0CA2A89AU710275 (manual, 35k miles, dark blue/tan interior with blue deviating carpet, HID lights, 18" wheels) that was listed on Craigslist with a misspelled title ("Boxter" - no"s"; maybe apropos of its trim level) so it was sort of off the radar. I purchased it today after Carfax and a PPI gave it a clean bill of health (only 1 range 1 over-rev). Paid about $25k after cost of shipping.
Where to I looked: I found that Autotrader seemed to have the best overall selection, but not many great deals. Rennlist, PCA Mart, and Carvana seem to have occasional good deals on 987s and 981s, but they go fast. AutoTempest is also a nice search aggregator that led me to the car I bought. Ebay, Bring a trailer, carsandbids, Craigslist, CarGurus, and pcarmarket are hit and miss, but are worth a look.
Lessons learned: Be patient, be vigilant, and act quickly when the right car comes along. Happy hunting!

The North Carolina Museum of Art in is Raleigh is having a fund raising raffle. For $100 a ticket they are giving away a new 2021 Spyder. Here is the link: Porsche Raffle - NCMA - North Carolina Museum of Art (ncartmuseum.org) I am not affiliated with the Museum, it just came across my local Porsche Club FB feed today. Hopefully OK to post here....
