981 Sport Chrono Retrofit part 2: software side

In this case you would be better off with a piwis with engineering mode, this way it will no longer require activation codes. Just did this to my Macan 2018 with PCM4.0 with piwis3. I first tried with an original tool without engineering available, so when selecting QR5 sport chrono plus, it would require a code. After I tried with another piwis3 but with engineering mode available, just went and selected the option, no code required, in less that 5 min the option was activated.

Might be an ignorant question - but I haven't seen any discussion on how to enable Sport Plus once the coding is complete.
Are folks able to add the Sport Plus button to their switch panel, or is it activated via the MF wheel, or even PCM?
Sorry to add to the thread randomly here, I'm considering purchasing a 981 and am trying to understand the process here.

In case anyone is curious, adding sport plus to a 2013 manual car - this will not add rev match. Just did this update after retrofitting PSE, since I had the new center console button set. I have not retrofitted a SC clock yet, but was able to successfully code Sport Plus with the activation code. It did add the G meter and Shift assist to the gauge cluster which is nice to have. @Visual thanks for the write up!
how do I get sport or sport plus to show on my steering wheel

Yes, there are two versions for each type of steering wheel. Only the Sport Chrono version steering wheels have the lights that come on. I actually ran into this issue during the coding process because the Sport Design steering wheel I swapped in was from a non-SC car, so it didn't have the lights in the wheel trim.

Anyone have any experience with code-porsche.com?
I have the switch panel installed and just trying to find an activation code.

Has anyone done this successfully? My indy has PIWIS 3 but I'm not sure what mode he's trying to use.
