Turned off traction control and had some fun today. Got the call yesterday saying my new tires showed up. I don’t want to leave any tread unused on the old ones. We pay enough for our tires, got to get every bit we can out of them.

Replaced the frunk struts on my '14 BS. 10 minute job, and no more saggy frunk lid. In fact, the thing kinda rockets in to place if you're not holding on to it!

New rear tires installed. I knew my old ones were at the end of their life, but until I got them removed, I didn't realize how bad they really were. It is hard to see that inside edge without pulling the tires or lifting the car off the ground. I drove 100 miles at 80 MPH to get to the shop where my son works to get the tires. I'm lucky they made the trip.
Next job up, an alignment!

Left side

Right side. Yikes!

When I saw the first pic, I thought, "C'mon, that's not that bad..." Then I saw the second one and I thought, "Yikes is right!" Glad you made the trip without that tire disintegrating at 80 mph.

^^^ Yikes time for an alignment

Didn't do anything just drove the 981 BGTS M to Watkins Glen for IMSA this weekend with my wife. Nice 600 mile round trip. Car is a blast I hate to sell it but rarely use it. I did learn that the rain can come in at 90mph with the top down glad it was a short storm. Came over a hill and could see the rain approaching quickly. No place to stop and put the top up so just kept driving. The rear view mirror was a little wet after 4 miles of torrential downpour. I will say that the Sportster seats in the GT4 are far more comfortable than the standard seats with alcantara. Still very comfortable and a great top down drive. Congrats to Porsche for 1st and 3rd.

My friends family owns the Seneca lodge. So we always stay there for track events. they are dumping a lot of money into it and is far nicer than years ago but it is like camping. LOL

Rexy didn't do all that well neither did our friend's at Lexus and Paul Miller BMW. Madison gave it a great effort though.

Alignment completed. I'll keep a close eye on the inside edge in the future. I'm not sure how long it normally takes for them to do an alignment, but they emphasized that it took them an hour and a half to mine.

That seems a bit extreme. Usually 2 hrs tops. What method and specs?

I asked for a printout, but they said the printer hooked up to that system wasn't working. They said that they set them to factory specs. They are the most reputable alignment shop that we have in town, and I do trust the work they do, but we only have a handful of Porsches in town, and I wouldn't doubt they have not done one before. I gave them the photos of the tires and the car's tire and alignment history when I took the car in, so they knew what they were dealing with.

Welcome to the family.
I will warn you Porsche's are addicting, so be careful. Most people who buy a Porsche, continue to buy Porsches. I'm on my 4th one. Many people on here own multiple Porsche at the same time. (My wife won't let me.)

Some soundproofing and a carbon flush will see if I can get back to the dyno next week to see if it restored some lost ponies
