Thanks....yes, base model. The bumper was on my prior 981 S, just had it resprayed.

It's actually a Spyder bumper with the GT4 lower lip.
I'm north of Atlanta, Alpharetta/ Milton area.

I see you're in Atlanta, what part?

Nice, I'm in Brookhaven. Met another guy with a guards red Spyder who lives in Alpharetta last week at caffein and exotics. I'll have to keep my eyes out for you!

When the bumper was delivered, the touch up was terrible and the paint had many defects, trash in the paint, poor coverage in the vent areas and not even a full spray on the sides....the original black color was still visible. Not to mention, nowhere close to the right color! He blamed me for every bit of his poor job...it had damage, it's an old car and how can I color match, you talk to my PPG mixer and tell him he can't color match.....it goes on and on.

Live and learn. On our local FB Porsche group, I asked for some local painter recommendations. The second guy had an actual shop, was only $75 more and was upfront about the amount of prep work needed. He knocked it out in less than 3 days and the color match was perfect! What's worse, the original painter didn't stand by his work and I lost all of my $400. It was a lesson learned and I'll bring all of my future touch up/respray work to the new guy, he was great.
wow....that sucks!!

Too bad you paid cash huh?

All you can do now is just blast him on yelp and every other type of media you can think of so someone else doesn't go through same nightmare.... guy doesn't realize he's gonna lose a lot more money than the $400 he stole from you after a few bad reviews.

Might as well tell us all on here what the name is in case someone on here needs paint work in your area and knows to stay far away

Had to get headliner replaced yesterdday, Texas Heat and driving with the windows down at the track last month took a toll on the original headliner.

Still has the fresh glue smell!

Installed the upper 911 coil pack heat shields. Couldn't get the lowers on with stock headers/cats.

I also installed the LNEngineering oil filter adapter so i can run rad corvette oil filters. :-D

Updated my GPS maps from NaviExtras - on a non-Porsche headunit (Rosen). Went well if a bit tedious doing the complete system backup before the update.

Took my first extended 1K+ mile road trip in the 981, and the car completely blew any preconceived expectations.
Almost too comfortable to be so capable and nimble, and I was actually sad having to stop driving after 5.5hrs. Truly a remarkable automobile that slices through roads like butter, let alone a complete head turner.
Pic was taken after initial 400+ miles of route, and the car is quite dirty with lot's of bugs, road dust, and some car tread skid marks that rubbed off like at the track (no clue how that happen), and it is still near flawless in appearance.
Never thought I'd be an enjoyer of any convertible automobile, but this car is most certainly an amazing experience, and I am not certain where its limits-end........
