Default Radiator question

Finally getting to the moment of putting hoses on the animal. Can anyone tell me the purpose of a fitting on the rad? It's halfway down on the drivers side.

If its an oil cooler there has to be two ports, an inny and an outy. I stick a water hose in it and see what happens.

UPDATE; I took it out and found two things. First is that is a blank and doesn't go anywhere and two I had the rad upside down.

Tranny cooler is the mirror of the engine oil cooler in the front bumper. There is some round non functional boss in the end casting on my car....it's just there.

Hmm, yes there is dummy port on the passenger side but the drivers side has the thermoswitch.

The 968 used the same radiator as a 951 with the exception of that blanking plug not knocked out for flow.
