After much work, the revised PCA 968 register website is now open. It will be "the site" for 968 production data information as well as PCA related activities. Contained in its pages is much of the information I have collected over the past 20 years along with the production roll-up totals. I think you will find it interesting. Thanks to Adam (The Blau) for helping me build the site. I'm sure there are mistakes and suggestions for future content so just let me know.
Are you going to do a spread sheet of the known VINs and their location? I am curious of how many are left on the road...those that are stashed and those that have subscummed to the elements/conversions.
The correct craft/ski nautique web site has an owners diaries section which can be an interesting read. I am sure each of these cars has a story!
I'd love to join, but apparently one must be a PCA member to do so. That's too bad.
I'm not sure where it says that??? i have a few non-PCA fans in the register. That said, if you want to take advantage of PCA events and receive the Panorama magazine you will need to join.
My take, if you are a fan the registry gives you a glimpse into what you are missing out on with PCA membership and encourages you to join. That said, it is up to you.
If you are Lance I already processed your application and you'll get a welcome note tonight. Nice 968 BTW.
Jeff, I really enjoyed going thru the yrs at Hershey. Brought back some wonderful memories. Met some of my best friends via 968 ownership. Great times.
The site does not say you have to be a PCA member. However, the first time I filled out the online form I left the spaces for PCA membership number and region blank. It was rejected. That's why I thought you had to be a PCA member. Then I put "N/A" in both those two spaces and it went through. I got a VERY nice acceptance email with info on my car shortly thereafter. Great site Jeff. Thanks!
Lance
