Default My Speed Yellow Coupe

As many of you may remember, I used to own a very nice Speed Yellow M030 coupe many years back. It was my daughters favorite car and color. I hated selling it and have regretted selling it ever since. Sharing some of pics of her when I posted her up for sale...

I sold her with 1st rights, which didn't happen. The seller went on to sell it to someone else (from what I hear) a few yrs ago. I understand the current owner has taken great care of it and often takes it to Porsche Parade and other shows. Good on him.

Here are some pics..

Its been almost 10 yrs since I last saw her. It always bugged me that I sold my daughters car. Well, she is only 13 so I still have a few years before she is ready to drive. Time to start looking for a replacement.

To be continued....

You mention first rights. Were you offered and chose to decline, or was it sold out from under you? I only ask because a.) you brought it up, and b.) I bought my car with a first rights option back to the original owner if/when I decide to sell.

Gorgeous car, at least it's good hands.

I was never offered, buts it's history now. The person I sold the car to was a standup guy, not sure why he never honored it. I had even told him the story about it being my daughters favorite car.

Oh well, it's in good hands and the next person is enjoying it.

Brian, the current owner of that car, is indeed a nice guy, altho I don't remember him all that fondly, as every year I brought my 968 cab to the PCA Palooza in Eureka Springs AR, I always wound up taking second place in the 968 class to him in the voting. lol

The car still looked great last time I saw it, and assuming I head back down to the event next year or run through Tulsa (where the car currently lives), I'll be sure to pass your info to Brian and let him know you are still interested in getting that car back.

Raj, I'll try and snap some pics of the car next time I see it. Yes, Brian, the current owner, is a very nice guy. He owns a shop called Rennsport Werkstatt here in town and is very active in the local PCA. The car constantly wins autocross and concours events.

Of the 10 Speed Yellow coupes, Raj's (now Brian's) coupe is #7. #8 is in my garage.

there are people who say the Porsche 944 is more beautiful than the 968.

the sad part of this tragedy is some of these poor blighters appear quite happy amidst their delusion.

IMO, the 968 is more "Porsche-like" in appearance than the 944.

The 944 was a much different looking car than the 911 and even the 928 in the eighties.
The 968 is much closer to the Porsche design theme of the nineties.

IMO, this makes the 968 a better looking car, and I say this despite owning three 944s over the years.

I remember those old photos of your Speed Yellow m030, Raj. At first I was kicking myself for saying no to buying it from you but then the riv blue 968 showed up in my life, haha. I got to meet your SY coupe and Brian in person at 2012 Porsche Parade in SLC. You can see several photos of it in action in this autocross photo gallery:

After 9 plus yrs, another Speed Yellow coupe now adorns our garage. Its a 2010 997.2 GT3 with Carbon buckets. Very clean, Florida car. Weather has been iffy but a few short drives have me smiling ear to ear.

A few pics to share..

Currently struggling with garage space. RB needs to find a new garage.
Regards,
Raj

Does that mean you no longer want to get the SY 968 coupe back? Nice new ride, my friend!
