'94 SY Cab sold on eBay?
Did this really happen? And for $5,300?
Please tell me it wasn't one of the 10.

It was at hershey this year and it was a POS. Stay away!!!
And the only thing speed yellow about that car is the repaint. When new, it was slate grey.
"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."
Speed yellow cab replicas are poping up all over the place.

The car on AT was originally Aventure green.
But I guess this is what will happen when they only made 10 and already stole one back (returned to Germany).

I've seen the one on Autotrader - it's been there for a while. I hope it sits there forever, or as long as the seller misrepresents it as a "rare" color without saying it's a repaint!
And, I know all too well about there being only 10 SY cabs. I owned #10 myself for a few years. It's now in Steve's good hands in NJ. Serious halo effect going on - I wish I still had it today, but remember wanting to get rid of it after it had been hit. I made myself a promise though, that if ever I got another Porsche it would be Speed Yellow cab with a black top. 10 years later I bought a 911 Turbo Cab. Yep, Speed Yellow and black.
...and then I still got a 968 cab. They're just amazing drivers' cars. Guards Red with black cabrio. Not as pretty as Speed Yellow, but I've already got that base covered.

Always check the engine photo. Rarely would anyone ever go to the trouble to pull an engine to properly do a color change by painting the engine compartment. You can see it on the AT SY cab as well.

I think there was another owner or two before it got to Steve. BTW, I still have his spare key from the factory sitting around here somewhere. And the spare to the locking glove boxes, too. We were planning to meet up for a handoff but it never materialized.
BUT... I do have a couple of guitars. Now all I have to do is learn how to play 'em.
