And to Damian's point - I could understand someone putting cup2's and ROW turn signals on the car, but the side-markers - a lot of effort to cut open a set of fenders and add wiring for them.
Oh, and the lower right corner says something along the lines of "Tiechati 2006"

All this gushing over slate gray has me worried... I'm basically "ruining" my car by turning it into a track car, but with so much love for the color, I'm concerned that the fact that it's slate gray will potentially add greatly to its future value, had I kept it stock... That would be just my luck!

Hello all,
I bought that Slate Grey coupe in the ad above about five days ago. It was not a scam. He just put a picture of a slate grey coupe he found online.
Owner was a cop who got a great deal on the car from a friend and just flipped it. I paid $10k for it, which I feel is fair price. Not a steal, not a rip off.
Good records, car has mostly sat for last 6 years and 9,000 miles. Tons of maintenance done at that point six years ago. Interior is near mint. Exterior is decent, a few scratches, all original paint.
And as this is a color thread, I don't really love the color, but the rest of the car fit the bill. If it were my druthers, I would have a white over black one.
I am using it as my DD. I have owned 3 951s before this. And several 911s. I also race a SPEC 944. So, love the water coolers. The car is much more refined than a 951. Lazier I think. It is a sneaky quick car.
In this, you are going faster than you think. In a 951, you think you are going faster than you are.
See you all around.

Welcome to 968 ownership, Kevin. I'm sure you're well versed in the preventative maintenance - but just in case - 6 years is overdue for belt replacement. Hope to see you around at some of the Northeast shows.
