Wait...did PORSCHE actually build a car with the interior colormatched? I thought 968 interiors were ALWAYS black, tan, or grey. Would that have to be aftermarket, or a Special Wishes interior?
And that carpeting...did the owner just figure "Nah, I'll do it myself" and go to JoAnn Fabrics?

I'm speechless. What a car!!! The exterior is code 57 violet blue metallic which was available in 92/93 but seeing it paired with a magenta interior is just crazy!!! And not only that, the original interior was the multicolor cloth and it had the optional code 526 cloth door panels which carried the cloth onto the door panels. Extremely rare to say the least and the combination is definately a 1 of 1!!!

The strange thing is that the car is located in Spain but still on UK plates ... This is quite a common story where by a UK individual buys a LHD car in the UK which in this case probably started out life in Germany before being imported to the UK and then the owner has taken the car over to Spain. In Spain you have to register the car on Spanish plates after 6 months otherwise the car is effectively illegal to use on the Spanish roads and do to the cost a lot of Brits just put the car up for sale at such time. The advert description is quite poor and leads you to believe that the owner is not a true P-car enthusiast, rather just wanted some cheap cab fun in the sun. It is likely that the owner has run into financial difficulties hence why selling.
The black seats look to have had the seat faces recovered professionally and you can even see the new black piping which the trimmers added. Just a shame they could not find the original matching door card plaid to match as this car would have been a beauty.
I actually really like the 993 Targa wheels on the 968 and it just needs lowering slightly in the front to match the perfect rear height.
Appart from the interior it looks very clean and it would be nice to know the actual VIN and option codes.
Beni my business partner is in Marbella early next week on business so I will ask him to take a look as the private UK registration plate alone is worth £10k which could transpire to equal a FREE 968

Future,
Here is what the original seats looked like right down to the color. You can see they match the door panels. They are rare. Here in the US they sold a 968 cab that was rubystone red (solid pink) with a magenta/light gray interior. That would be a wild one as well.

@Jeff - I am guessing the comfort seats originally also had the plaid on the side cushions rather than just the centers as per the above pic you attached - I've seen this before on a 968 fitted with sport seats in the UK but they were light blue/grey with matching door cards (The car had a light blue exterior)
^ found on UK ebay ... link here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PORSCHE-924-94...item5192ea4400 < could make nice garage wall hanging and never seen fitted to a 944 before?
Edit ... Just found these rears from a 968 (split rear centers):
^ This is as per my reference to the side also in the same material rather then leather

Future,
Good point. Porsche actually offered both varieties, 1) cloth in center with vinyl bolsters, 2) cloth in center and on bolsters.
I don't have a picture of a multicolor cloth seat with the full covering but below is an example with the Porsche script. \
Interesting auction item. I guess this proves that the multipcolor was a carryover from teh 944s.

Yes it does look like it's a carry over even though I've never seen this before (the solid piece rears were only fitted to pre 1988 944's - after they featured the split rears give or take a year). In my old 952 I had black logo center Sports seats which I sold a few years back on ebay UK for £600 - they were in almost new condition but the cloth does shin up after 50k miles
Are the above seats from a 993 originally? Very nice
Here is another set of blue logo seats but comfort model - it's the entire interior

@fox - they do look VERY nice which year did the 968 get the 993 stitch pattern or was this special order?
Just found a nice 92 hood for £400:
I've got to stop looking on ebay now before I start spending
