Default Rader, the man with Porsche audio

I can't tell you how many people I spoke to that said my original $1347 1992 dollars CD2 was a door stop because i didn't have the code. Then Rader spoke up and said "let me give it a shot". Sure enough, my CD2 is in my car and powered up with a code. I'm not sure how he did it but he did. It sounds darn good for 1992 audio. Thanks Rader!!!

My CD-2 has not worked right for 2 years. Only picks up strong signals in FM, no AM, and CD player is toast.

Jeff-do you have contact info for Rader?

Thanks!

Hmmmm if he really knows everything about the CD-2, I'd like to ask him a few questions, as I'm trying to figure out what to do about my own sound system...

Besides finding cherry cars and accessories I think he owns a hi-fi store.

Default thank you

thank you for the kind words!

Porsche's CD-2 was OEM'd by Alpine.

I've been selling and servicing Alpine products since the early 80s.

I'm happy to fix/refurbish any and all Genuine Porsche units (including the CD-2) to better-than-new condition (e.g., I fix all the inherent weak points to make them "bullet proof").

And I'm first in line for one!!! It will be great to keep the original look of my CD2 while being able to plug my Ipod directly. The FM modulator is worthless. Thanks for making these Rader!!!
