Has anybody tried a 993 wheel? Those are similar, but better.

+1 on the CS wheel. It looks right in our cars.

Better than that, it feels right. Best mod I've made on my car.

I don't recall seeing a 993 wheel in a 968 but I'm sure someone has done it. Someone did a 997 wheel, and I think it was Steve Z with a 996 wheel.

Is that an early 996 wheel? I thought most of them were that triangular sort of 3 spoke.

I like that one, it's similar to the 968 wheel but looks better.

Anyone have pics of a 997 wheel in a 968? I have a 997 shift **** swap in the works and am interested in the standard 997 steering wheel.

THis is ___Odurandina_____ 996 wheel I beleive is installing a shifter that will match it if not done already.I'm still waiting for my CS wheel last time I track it it was in Montreal approx 7 hundred miles from my place waiting for custome to release it those guys are a PITA sometimes.Only took a couple a days to make it from Sunset in OR to Quebec will probably take a week before I get it.

Oh well, your car's been waiting 17 years for a proper steering wheel, I suppose it'll be okay for another week

Lol.

Shamus, thanks for the pic, I wondered how that wheel would look in a 968 and I think it looks great.

Default 3-spoke

Currently sporting a euro-xtra thick 3-spoke with leather airbag topped with silver/black crest.

As much as I like it, still prefer the period correct 993 4-spoke steering wheel finished in carbon fiber and leather, or even rarer:

-the "sport" version with perforated leather at 10 & 2.

Dave Griemann's old pdf shows this-

6. Install a 3 ohm resistor (any
watt value) in the orange
connector that comes from the
steering column shroud. This will
fool the airbag computer into
thinking that an airbag is still
attached. This will insure the
proper function of the passenger
airbag and prevent the airbag
warning light from illuminating.
Swaddle the resistor in
electrical tape to secure.
