You should check this one out:

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...e=&cardist=392

It is the 7th coupe built for the US market. Looks like it has sport seats and it's in Ohio!!

That car looks good, but I'm going to be picky about the color combo. I want another black on black car with a lsd.

Black on Black is the best IMHO. All business!

I agree. I've got a deposit on that car. I'm in the process of booking a flight, but would feel better if I could find someone local to look at it first. The seller has been very helpful so far. Car sounds pretty solid and a good canidate for my project.

If you can post on 968forums.com there are a few members that are in the NC area, that would probably lend a hand.

Kevin- I am not exactly next door but I am 127 miles away. If your guy could meet me in Danville VA- it right at the border of NC I'll make every effort to inspect the car for you. I am a long time 951/968/911 etc owner. I've done clutches, trans, engine removal etc in my 20yr plus playing with these cars. I'd be happy to help if the logistics was right. Have you asked for a leakdown or compression check results? Might be hard for me on the side of th eroad or a parking lot...LOL. My zip is 24551. My leg would be about 75 miles. so his would be shorter. Here is from Chapel Hill to Forest.- were it hits 29 we could arrange to meet somewhere.- Mike

or michael.nott@areva.com or 434-942-2916

directions for your guy all the way to forest- scroll down for half way-From Chapel hill towards Forest

1: Start out going SOUTH on COUNCIL LN toward PINE ACRES RD. 0.2 miles Map

2: Turn LEFT to stay on COUNCIL LN. <0.1 miles Map

3: Turn RIGHT onto HATCH RD. 0.9 miles Map

4: Turn RIGHT onto NC-54 E. 1.3 miles Map

5: Turn SHARP LEFT onto OLD FAYETTEVILLE RD. 1.0 miles Map

6: OLD FAYETTEVILLE RD becomes HILLSBOROUGH RD. 0.7 miles Map

7: HILLSBOROUGH RD becomes OLD NC-86. 7.9 miles Map

8: OLD NC-86 becomes S CHURTON ST. 2.4 miles Map

9: S CHURTON ST becomes NC-86 N (Crossing into VIRGINIA). 38.5 miles Map

I'd meet somewhere in here or slightly north on 29. The more he drives the better but this is close to half....

10: Take the VA-265 N ramp toward SOUTH BOSTON. 0.2 miles Map

11: Merge onto US-29 N. 63.9 miles Map

12: Stay STRAIGHT to go onto US-29 BR N. 1.9 miles Map

13: Stay STRAIGHT to go onto WARDS RD. 0.1 miles Map

14: Merge onto US-501 N / LYNCHBURG EXPY. 2.3 miles Map

15: Take the GRAVES MILL RD exit- EXIT 11. 0.2 miles Map

16: Turn LEFT onto GRAVES MILL RD / VA-126. 1.6 miles Map

17: Turn LEFT onto US-221. 3.2 miles Map

18: Turn LEFT onto ELKTON FARM RD. 0.2 miles Map

19: Turn LEFT onto WOODBROOK LN. 0.2 miles Map

Good luck- Mike

Mike, thank you very much for the offer, but I won't put you out like that. Flights down there for me are only $125. You would have that in gas. I'll fly down and check it out. The owner has been very good to deal with so unless something is major, I don't see this being an issue.

No problem- Not putting me out, just trying to help a fellow lister. I thought it would be a great reason to ditch work for a few hours and road trip my 930. I just install a zork style IMSA exhaust and it rocks. Figured I'd wear it out for a while and drag a friend along. Let me know if you change your mind. - Mike

Colin, not sure yet. For right now I'll be throwing my suspension and wheels on the car.

I always thought a stock to simply modded 968 was a beautiful thing.

I also would offer to check the car out for you but I doubt I am any closer then Mike is.
