Default London visit

I'll be in the UK on a trip at the end of the month-the one free day I have is Saturday night, 2/28-I'll be at Brown's in Mayfair. Who's up for a meet and greet?

Thanks Nick, I thought I'd throw this out to everyone else too-I'm going to be on a tight schedule so I won't really have much downtime unless plans change for the better-which they won't . . . but it's looking like I'll make a second trip this summer so maybe I'll have more time then.

No problem Damien.

If you come in the summer that will be an even better time to play. If you can get a day off and the boat we race is in the country and we are not working on it, I will take you for a spin round the Isle of Wight. Takes just under an hour to do a lap. That is if you have the stomach for it, its fairly placid on a nice day but it can get a bit rough on the South Side if the wind picks up...more fun but not for everyone.

Any other 968ers in the vicinity are welcome to come for the ride.

Raj you know you have a seat when you find the time to get over here!

Nick, you never know. With such low airfare rates, london doesn't seem so far away. I would like to see yoru progress in person and especially the stand alone when its all finished.
Take care.
Raj

Next week I'm taking my family to the part of Finnland that touches the Arctic Circle...Rovaniemi and Kemi.

We're looking at the ice sculptors, staying at the ice castle too.

If any 968's up that way, I'd love to meet up as well...actually if there's anybody up there at all, I'd love to meet them...can't believe my wife has talked me into this one!

Damian, remember his wife also participates in those. I think he is one of the lucky guys whose wife shares his passion. Ofcourse she is completely unaware of "doubling the ponies project" .
I had to be very hush hush around her when I met her. A wonderful lady I must say.

Hi!

Have you guys agreed time and location yet? I'd really want to join you. However, I am that weekend on call but might be able to swap it with somebody.
Brown's in Mayfair??

Nick: how is your engine project doing? Have you got a list of the bits you'll need?

Jason: how was Finnland? I was there up north for the new year. Last day of my trip it was -30c, so maybe a bit too cold for downhill sking but still OK for X-country...

Hi Errki

No definate time has been agreed, but I would guess 7 - 8 pm.

No plans have been made so its just a loose arrangement.

As far as the engine goes, I think I will have a list for you soon.

Regards
Nick
