Hey Gene: what offset are the front e88 wheels and what is the width of the outer half they used to build the front wheels? Remind me what front brake calipers you’re using? These are all factors in how BBS will build my wheels (they want me to specify caliper clearances and factory offsets). I want as fat a lip for the front + rear wheels as possible, without destroying driving dynamics.

I think BBS has declared bankrupcy!?

Default Need a Little Inspiration Today!

I was looking for a bit of inspiration for the 968 Turbo project today, so I pushed her outside for a quick clean up. ChampCar races, NASA DEs, and the new job have taken precedence over the Viola 968 in the last couple of years. I have a few ECU gremlins to work out and I'm pulling this project back to the top of the list (again). Wish me luck

Default Turbo Heat Shield

Local to me is a company called CoolMat. They make a large variety of heat control products and some customs work. Here is my turbo and down pipe radiant barrier to help reduce the intake from heat soaking. Pat at CoolMat is easy to work with and very knowledgeable.

Turbo with factory heat shields.

Template and finished product.

CoolMat’s custom Heatmaster shield in place. I’ll stainless zip tie into place.

Nice work!
Do you know if you saved many LBS over the stock OEM one?
