worth the risk? can't really weigh in there. Probably a personal decision.
But there's a lot of finger pointing going on in those pics. Whoever drove it those 54k miles had a death grip on that shifter,... and had a key ring full of keys scraping away.
Heard that original SIGLA windshields are next to impossible to find these days.
Why would they point out the rocker shark fin rubber seal, verses just fixing it. That's still available, easy to get, and cost peanuts.
Hey, it's a 3.6,... so yea, with full documentation, acquisition is worth pursuing.
The gamble is whether the market is still softening, and waiting could lower price points for an example such as this....

I have a Cobalt Blue 1991 965 with 65K miles I am looking to possibly sell. The exterior is probably an 8-9 and the interior is a 6-7 (light gray). I am the third owner (the second was less than a year I believe) and have owned it since 2000. If there's interest get in touch.

I haven't seen many 3.3's in cobalt blue. Assuming it checks out IMO it is worth buying for the color alone. Although I am biased.

Here's a couple of pics...I am just beginning to explore selling it. I've not been a regular here on Rennlist but figured it would be a good place to begin getting a sense of the cars value and see if there might be someone interested. I'm not actively marketing the car anywhere else. If I can get what I feel the car is worth, then I would let it go.

Thanks...and I am quite familiar with the car having a very close friend that's a 30 year veteran Porsche tech on the East Coast. I am entertaining reasonable offers if there's interest.

I know of 3, 3.6's made for the US mine is the only black interior I have seen only a handful of 3.3's as well making the color quite rare.
Beautiful car. Good luck with the sale I hope you don't regret it later.

I love the car and the color is definitely unique. I had no clue how much so when I first set eyes on it. I was coming out of a 1988 930 after owning a 944T for many years and felt the 930 was a step back in technology from the 944T. I noticed at the time (1999-2000) the 964T's were only a few thousand more and sold the 930 to jump into this one. Even in relatively stock form, it's light years ahead of the 88 930. It's mostly to do with the redesigned "quick spool" turbo and G50 trans. The 930 had synchro issues from the day I bought it and two rebuilds on the trans over only around a 9 month period.

BWE Steve, that's a good shot of your car with Anthony's!
Reminds me of another red one I've been slowly reassembling. Every time you think you're making way the owner decides on another.. mod! Yes, its a modded car. However, tastefully done as a Turbo S, steel vents and all!
