I hate to say it but it doesn't look like a 92 turbo S wing. It looks like a turbo modified RSA wing in all glass. The turbo S wing has longer sides that extend almost to the car body.

Here's what I have for a Turbo S wing.
Chann's looks as close as anyone's going to get, except it's not one piece (perhaps it will be eventually).
It's going to be hard to judge it until it's on the car.

I see what you're saying but I don't think this will make or break the finished product overall. There is lots of other cool stuff on the car to look at, and its being built to drive and enjoy.. not as a trophy car.

Was just an observation. One only **** retentive nuts like me would pick up on. Haven't seen a turbo S project like this in 10 years, lots of fun. In fact the last one was red also and I recall how much work was involved along with parts being easier to find and cheaper back then. The important part is the side vents. You can always go back and change out the wing. Who knows I found a factory 94 turbo S tail in Gelcoat and RSR speedlines in excellent original condition so anything is possible.

Back in 2002 or so BW motorsports used to make a nearly perfect exact replica. Their products were better than most of what is available today but unfortunately they disappeared.

Good luck to both of you on the project and please post pictures of it finished.

A few years ago a member here did a flat nose conversion, often wonder what happened to that car, I recall the owner passed away soon after finishing the project.

Yeah, that was some project.
The owner (God rest his soul) threw circus money at that car, including two, maybe three engines if I recall correctly. As impressive as the bodywork was, the engine was even more impressive. It contained a lot of trick parts and literally melted it's first exhaust system off. The HP was never revealed but rumored to be nearing 1000 at max boost.
There was a nice article on it in 911 & Porsche World a few years ago.
The owner's widow sold it and a nice 993 TT and I haven't seen or heard of that car since

So anyway, back to one of my questions.
Who is the source of the metal side vents?

I got them from a Porsche dealer (The part numbers are: 993 503 980 01 and 993 503 981 01) and about 10" x 10" section.

Fvd used to list them on their site, I'm sure they could still source them for you.

That's them! I'm really glad you've taken good pictures of everything along the way!

Thanks Anthony.. you're right, sourcing the parts back in the day was a whole lot easier/cheaper!

I remember Brian at BW, bought a lot of stuff from him back them, vents, Ruf bumpers aero mirrors etc. He offered some really quality products at a good price that fit very well. All of sudden poof, they were gone!

Ahh.
Thanks Chann.
Now I'm daydreaming of taking my car the rest of the way and seeing dollar bills with wings flying away
