My Turbo 3.6 is in for a full respray.
Hello,
Can't wait to see my car after full paint respray. It's going to be resprayed in L741 black which is the colour it came out of stuttgart.
Just wanted to share my excitement.

Did it really need one? It looked good in pics from what I could tell. What made you decide to do it?

That's what polish and wax are for.

The car has some paint chips surrounding the car, its high mileage car and a respray is a + in my book. :thumbup
Lots of paint chips on the bonnet, it would be a ugly thing to touch up.

Are you going to have a clear bra applied after painting? It's a good idea to do it; it will really save the new paint.

What would be the cost to respray. I plan to do it on my 993 tt as well.

I am in Kuwait so prices differ, the place I am taking my car to is a shop that works on classic cars and restorations. They quoted me $5,600 for the respray and then I would source whatever is needed ie rubber seals and so on.

Sounds like the going rate over here.
Are they taking the glass out or just lifting the gaskets?
I assume the original paint isn't being stripped for that price.

Yeah, I would be too if I didn't have to do it all myself
