"New" Wheels
I asked Jim Dorociak to put together an "enhanced" set of original Speedlines, and while it took a while because of his stringent quality requirements, I believe that in the end the wheels are significantly better than new OEM. I have put my originals in storage. Thanks Jim.

Paul -- the centers from a set of Speedline wheels is different on the front vs the rear. The rear has a push out of approx 5mm further than a front. So the front wheel is out further and it has a deeper inner rim. You are probably already doing that with your set by running a spacer on the front just to move that last little bit to make it look right. -- In the rear I did like you did -- I used a deeper inner rim as well as a deeper outer rims and grew the wheel 3/4". jdorociak@gmail.com jim

Jim, is it the pictures, or, do the outer rim halves you're using have an additional "step", prior to the lip, when compared to OEM rims?

Yes there is a step - what you are seeing is 2.25" vs 1.75 (standard rear rim). The rear wheel used 1/4" deeper inner rim and 1/2" deeper outer rim. All Speedline rims 2.25" and deeper have that step you are looking at. jdorociak@gmail.com jim

For a second, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.
BTW, the rims of the wheels in your last picture appear to have a matte/brushed finish...is this the standard finish?
Last question...can you build these wheels with hidden fasteners?

There is no provision to build Speedline wheels with hidden fasteners. The last picture of the white 964 RSR with cosmoline does not appear to have the outer rim polished from the factory, but rather looks like it was just clear powder coated over the raw rim half. I am guessing that on a race car of that era they did not care or bother to finish like the street version 3.6 Turbo Speedline wheels. jdorociak@gmail.com

Michelin PS2s already are excellent for our cars but I also have been told (no matter the size) that Michelin definitely reached a new dimension with their new Pilot Super Sports tyres !

Hi Carlos! Do you have different sizes because 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 are not available as Michelin Pilot Super Sports... Or am I wrong
