I love the car but I also like working on them and I have my eye on a new project which is why this is coming up. I also may go back to a track car and build one up for that purpose but I can't do it with this in the garage. I can always ask whatever I want but just trying to see if anyone knows of any that have sold recently. BaT on these cars is not very applicable as they have sold 2 964T's since the pandemic subsided.

I took mine completely apart. Found that everything was shot. But mine sat still and outside for 20 years

Nice looking car. Rare color combo but it has clearly been tracked with harnesses installed and modified at one time with extensive paintwork. I would start by removing the eye bolts plugging the holes and sourcing a new rear shelf pad. The underside needs some TLC. At the miles indicated I would have the underside cleaned and the engine tins always rust so I would consider having them painted and the engine gone through. By now the phenolic resin intake blocks are probably in need of replacing. I did not see any info on the clutch being serviced so it would be a good time to inspect it as well as flushing all the fluids and inspecting for pieces. I would also suspect by now that some of the oil lines will need to be repalced. There appears to be signs of oil leaking from the front oil cooler which should be checked.

Unless there is need to do it right away. I would start by cleaning the engine and checking for leaks after the first 500-1000 miles. This way you can see if it needs more than just basic gaskets replaced.

GL I am sure you will have lots of fun with it. Defiantly not a color you see on these cars often and will catch a lot of attention.
This crew is always happy to help and there are lots of threads on DIY projects.

@Boosted321 congrats! Once you get the car start a new thread intro’ing you and the car. There is amazing advice here even a rookie P owner like me has learned so much in my 1.5 years of Turbo ownership and so much is over my head. It blows my mind when I read some of what these guys know! Welcome to the club. Look forward to following your journey.

Anthony's advice is always right - if it were me I would first before even driving it at all change all the fluids and fuel filter and adjust the valves and check all the brake lines and make sure the mixture is about right...and the injectors are all flowing then I would be finding the right body guy to straighten out the front pan and put the factory match undercoat on it (forgot which one that can be found searching on here) repaint the tins also the fuel pump cover tin, with new bolts etc...

And amazing color combo indeed, and you got it for a price you can enjoy the car and not worry too much about valet parking...

Default Thanks

Thanks all. Appreciate the advice and yeah, agreed on most of it. Cobalt what paint work are you talking about? There was a harness installed and obviously that’s a dead giveaway for being tracked, but other than the front tray being not properly aligned/attached I didn’t really believe there to be bodywork done. I saw the paint readings and just assumed that was a variance in factory paint. Am I way off there? Appreciate your insight.

Default Underside

I will indeed start by cleaning all the underside with a dry ice blasting. Brakes and their components front and rear will be replaced. Suspension was done in 2020. You guys are great! Plan to drive this one and have fun with it.

I thought maybe the paint looked original except a hood respray but don't remember what those looked like exactly.

The readings in yellow they posted are most likely paintwork. That would be the hood and both drivers and passenger side doors and quarters at a min. I would need to see the car in person to verify what was done but you can see the tape lines in the passenger side door jamb here. It is pretty pronounced along the outer edge. The lines could probably be blended out. I wouldn't worry about it finding an all original paint turbo is rare these days and the work and color match seem to be nicely done. Especially with so many miles.

Trust me my turbo is original paint and it is more of a curse than a blessing when it comes to being able to enjoy these. I love greens and blues. Finding another like this won't be easy. I know of one 3.6T and very few 3.3's in this color. One of my favorites.

@Boosted321 I’d recommend starting a new post for your car. Tons of questions will come up and it’s will help you search / keep it orginzed. . So we can keep things on topic as much as possible.

Looking over the red 3.6 on BaT it seems like for the right price would be a fun project. I bought a very rough 964 Turbo that didn't sell on BaT on the cheap and brought it back to beauty on my own and sold it a couple of years ago (why!!!). I don't know about the interior leather issues and the missing vin sticker in the passenger door jamb, but the rest seem to be reasonably easy to fix. Maybe I'm missing something and if so let me know. I'll be bidding to point.

RoW Guards Red/black 3.6 up for auction in Switzerland. Shows 850 km (528 miles). Says in the description the mileage shown is since it’s restoration along with one owner which is kinda misleading if you don’t read it carefully.
