Roughly parts needed, BBI should confirm:
uprights
993 Brake calipers / rotors, or an adapter for stock brakes.
993 inner tie rod or EPR RSR type
993 steering rack bellows
993 or ERP outer tie rod
Front Bearings
993 control arm balljoint bolts
993 Flange bolts for wheel carriers
993 Lower ball joint below upright
993 Wheel speed sensor, use 964 abs wheel!

964 control arms are fine in stock positions.

You will be ripping apart the front end so it's worth replacing this stuff anyway and the parts above other than the brakes aren't too $.

Here’s an excellent post regarding the necessary parts and process of upgrading on the 964 by Thomas. https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...ghts-long.html Note that in his experience the 993 longitudes were also required to get a decent camber setting. Not sure if this offset issue will occur with the Bbi parts as it seems to with the factory 993rs uprights.

Also I’d like to hear more about what will be required in terms of brakes with a stock car. If upgrading the front calipers then for balance is it not also necessary to replace the rears (caliper and rotor) as well? And then to match these a larger master? What about the vacuum system? Pv valve. If there is a way to keep the stock master etc I’d like to hear it.

Id love to do this upgrade- but it would be great to know exactly where the slippery slope ends.

Additionally it it would be nice to know exactly what the resulting geometry on the Bbi units are is relative to the 993rs units.

I guess I need to do some research on shortened struts before I have mine rebuilt.

Do I recall some talk that they would come with everything needed to bolt on to a 993, IE tie rods? Guessing from the above that this is not the case?

According to my shop they each weigh 2698.5 grams, i.e, approximately 5.95 lbs. each.
