Alternative for 993 RS Evo Uprights Being Made
Hey guys was over at BBI Autosport the other day and forgot to relay this.
The 993 Evo uprights, which are VERY popular on the 964 and 993 are currently backordered since like Sept 2016. Not showing NLA, but nobody has them unless they're stockpiling, and nobody knows when they will be available. Betim has scans and renderings done and will be doing design reviews next week on a part custom machined from billet. I don't have a lot more details at the moment, like price. If you're interested relay to the BBI account here, or reach out to Jerry at BBI. When I get more details I'll post here. |
Tried to buy these uprights and encountered the same back order issue. I went with Elephant racing bump steer kit instead.
|
I'd be interested in 2 sets pending cost of course.

Yeah if you guys post here I can relay to them or just point to this thread. Price depends on quantity with boutique manufacturing like this... I told him if they're as good as the suspension arms and other parts they have made he should be able to unload 20 sets.... :-) I know of 5 people looking for them right now.

That's awesome. I snagged a set from god knows where in Germany and considered myself lucky. Great to see this platform still seeing some r+d

I would be interested in two sets...

|

what do you mean design review? If BBI are machining from billet and carry out some stress analysis then I would expect to see a reasonable weight saving or increase in stiffness for the same weight compared to the cast Porsche parts as the billet material properties should be superior to the cast material. |
I'd be interested in a set too.
|
Interested too if price is somewhat reasonable

are the planning on a version that accommodates 964 brakes? Or will it require new calipers and pads like the evo uprights did?
