I read that its good to change fuel lines on a 964 if they have never been changed. Just bought a 964 (1990 C2) a few months back and was wondering if anyone had any views on this?
The original lines were not made for use w ethanol. That's part of the reason that the car is only approved for a max 2% ethanol blend.
Old lines corrode and clog your fuel filter. That's one issue. Second issue is with up to 12% ethanol in your gas today, being very corrosive and on top of that running through old lines, it's a disaster waiting to happen.

If they're not leaking, leave them alone. They are made from Cohline heat formed semi rigid NYLON tubing with a rubber covering. They will not deteriorate like rubber hose from ethanol.
