Default And it begins... Found the right car.

If all goes well the R8 will be sold in a few days so the chase for a new car begins.

The car: Carrera 2 without a sunroof
I have a lead on a 60.000mls marine blue

The project:

Bilstein PSS-10 Coil Over Kit
Rennsport Adjustable Stabilizers
Camber Plate (Set front + rear) only PSS9/PSS10
BBS E88 8J x 9.5J
RS interior carpet set
Full stripped interior
Alu Gauge Trim Rings
P93 RennSport Shifter
Recaro Pole Position Seats in Black Leather
Steering wheel GT2 with hub
RS Door Cards
Rennsport Ventilation Bypass Tube
Cup Strut Tower Brace
Rennsport Motor Mounts
Cup pipe
Bypass pipe long
Powerflow kit
Hot film
Chiptuning
Short shift kit
A PILLAR GUTTER SPOILER SET
BRAKE AIR INLETS
Front splitter set
RS rear bumper center
Xenon Conversion Kit

Did I forget something?

I need a little help what tires are good for the above set up (Only Sunny weekend drives and of course track

What is the consensus between the KW V3 CS and PSS10?

Thanks for the help

Why not just buy a RS?

Because values are ridiculous. You can't modify them without losing value. Feel guilt tracking and racking up mileage. People enjoy modding.

You'd have to pay me to swap my car for an RS. Like wise for many members here.

In fact one of the L9O owns a 993RS, 964 NGT, 964 LWT (amongst other rarer metal)... He thought the same and sold his 964 touring bought a hot rodded 964 so he could thrash it round a track and enjoy developing it.

There's even another L9O that bought such a rare RSR that he commissioned an exact replica so that he could have one to thrash and one drool over.

And i kept the originals of course - part of the value of the RS, when it becomes a collectible... you can have a peak at it through the window if you want...you know where she's parked

Thanks for the advice!
Will have a look into these yokohama tires.

I had Michelin pilot cups on my GT3 and really loved them, are they no good on a 964?

Cheers

Yes those a great too! But AD08s are a perfect hybrid track/ summer tyre. Medium compound so don't wear to quickly, very stiff sidewalls so no flex, deep tread so manage in rain alright and very sticky.

+1 this may well be too loud, most folk do one or the other rather than both due to the loudness.

What is the best solution/combination if you like a raspy race car sound?

G Pipe (Replaces OEM secondary muffler)
Cup Pipe (Replaces OEM primary muffler)
Long Bypass (Replaces OEM secondary muffler)

Thanks!
