Greetings all . I'm hoping to join you all for spa this year but have a problem .
Now usually I'll wait till the last second and try and sort everything out but thanks to rephlex getting me all excited , I'm actually getting my finger out !
My problem is wheels . I need a light , strong and good looking wheel (17 inch ) for the 964 . I'm a wee bit out of touch at the moment so any ideas are greatly appreciated .
Btw the car is black .
Dymags rock!
I may be talking rubbish but didn't they have disastrous manufacturing issues at one point though? Also have they not finally gone bust?
I believe the carbon rimmed wheels were the problem (Koenigsegg Top Gear test crash in Sweden etc) and yes they went bust. Possibly related to costs not being recouped with the carbon wheel(?)
The 5-spoke wheels currently on the car are Dymags are they not? Didn't Ken also have a magnesium set knocking around?
996 10 spokes are certainly light. Personally I like the look. As for strength... Hard to know how to gague that unless a wheel has history of failure. I guess Porsche would not knowingly put a weak wheel on as OEM fitment..
