ToreB is the man. I just ordered my kit. Didn't realize my lights were dead until this thread. Taking my daily driver C2 one step closer to perfect working condition.
I stood around while Tom (tfitch03) did this mod for his car and mine yesterday and there are a couple of things that will be good for others to know. The kit does not have all the right parts if your car is a 964 C4. The kit comes with 3 red LEDs, 3 green LEDs, and 2 resistors. On the C4 you need 4 red LEDs, 2 green LEDs, and 3 resistors. The lights above the dials are green, and there is a red flasher for the awd system. We made a run to a local electronics store to grab the extras, which was no big deal bc they're extremely cheap. The other note is that the bottom light board has different polarity than you'd expect after looking at the pics on ToreB's site. Positive on pins 1 and 4 in the connector, and negative on pins 2 and 3. Also, there isn't much room once you put the board back into the switch assembly, so the way we did it is really the only way the resistors are going to fit once you put it back together.
Correct me if I am wrong Vagluv or whoever but I think yes, you will need a resistor.
I cant remember 100% but I feel like the Red LED we purchased, and the one you see in the above picture, is a 12v and we tested one without a resistor and it popped. We popped a few so I might not be remembering that correctly.

Big help I am!
The packaging did say something about 12v, but we did still need a resistor on that bulb.
Another tip: if you look at my picture, you can see that one of those bulbs is further out than the others. Once installed, that light is not an evenly glowing green, but has a bright spot. I would recommend making the base of the bulbs flush with the green board to avoid this.
Hi guys, thanks for all your support.
I haven't been aware of this extra lamp power feed in the 964, and will update the kit contents and installation manual to cover this.
I will of course supply any missing bits to anyone that need it. If so, PM or email me.
Cheers,
Tore
