Those appear to be factory rockers. If so the turbo has an additional indent in the tub towards the shark fin on the long section that holds the long section flush. While you are at it see if you can add the indent to make room for the pin otherwise the rocker will lift in that area. You can add a bolt but getting in their to place the nut is impossible. Double stick body tape does not work well if you were thinking of this approach.

Looks like you have a later tub so you should have no issue with the size of the indents which grew in 91 to accommodate the turbo rockers larger clips. Also you will need to cut away some of the turbo flair around the thermostat to access these parts later. The rest can be fabricated to make it look like stock fit.

COming along nicely although it was gorgeous car to begin with I am a sucker for widebodies and using as many factory parts as possible is best.

Somehow, the car just looks so cool in its metallic state. A clear coat over that and the car would just scream vintage! And you can say "saved 2 lbs." from not having to paint.

is ths a mixture with G-modell parts? I`ve also thought some time about a solution with cable-driven mixture flaps...

Great idea, clever thinking, did you record how much weight you saved?

No, i actually did weight the my heating (AC Version) but can't remember what it was - what I know is the weight go the clima control unit - 993gramm.

I will weight my system when it is 100% ready to go!

Very nice work!

Mind sharing how you prepped the interior?

Wire brush wheel to remove the carpet adhesive then sanding discs?
And what was your method of choice to remove the tar-like sound deadening sheets on the floor and transmission tunnel?

Im about to start prepping mine and curious!

Thx! Cant wait to see more of the process!
